Office Chair Casters

Admin October 13, 2026

There are various types of office chair casters to choose from, differing in size, price, material, and design to meet different usage needs and floor conditions.

In terms of size and price, common options include 1.4-inch load-bearing caster with spring-loaded threaded universal wheels, priced at approximately ยฅ1.36; 1.5-inch wear-resistant caster universal wheels, priced at approximately ยฅ3.8; 2-inch stem-mounted flat caster wheels, priced at approximately ยฅ3.1; and 2-inch universal wheels for cross-border Amazon sales, priced at approximately ยฅ1.45. Additionally, there are more budget-friendly options such as office chair caster flower plate universal wheels, plastic wheels, PP wheels, nylon wheels, car wheels, silent lightweight casters, priced at approximately ยฅ0.8; factory-direct 1-2 inch universal casters, priced at approximately ยฅ0.51; 2-inch fixed casters for swivel chairs, priced at approximately ยฅ1.71; and popular 1.5/2-inch office chair universal wheels, priced at approximately ยฅ1.85.

Regarding material and design, different materials are suitable for different floors. PU-rimmed casters offer unique advantages. The outer layer of PU material is soft and elastic, preventing scratches on floors like hardwood when in contact, making them ideal for smooth surfaces and effectively protecting floor integrity. Nylon casters, on the other hand, have relatively high hardness, making them excellent for use on carpets. When carpet fibers are dense, the high hardness of nylon casters allows them to better overcome resistance, facilitating chair movement and reducing effort required.

In addition to material, some casters are equipped with silent rings. In office environments, frequent chair movement is common, and ordinary casters can generate noise through friction with the floor, disrupting the quiet atmosphere and potentially interfering with others' work. The design of silent rings effectively reduces such noise by minimizing friction between the casters and the floor, creating a quieter and more comfortable working environment for office staff.
