Office Chair Caster Wheels

Admin October 12, 2026

There are various types of office chair caster wheels, and there are corresponding techniques for their installation and cleaning.

Types of Office Chair Caster Wheels

Common office chair caster wheels include the universal wheels equipped on Decathlon's small rolling chairs. These wheels are lightweight and stable, allowing the office chair to move freely in office and study settings without taking up much space. At the same time, their silent roller design ensures a clean and undisturbed desktop, making sitting for long periods relatively comfortable. There is also the T37 hollow caster wheel, which is a specific model installed on computer chairs. This type of caster requires specific installation steps and accessories.

Installation of Office Chair Caster Wheels

The installation methods vary for different types of office chair caster wheels. Taking the installation of the base casters on the 2022A office chair as an example, screws J and K need to be used in conjunction with washer L to install the base plate, ensuring a firm connection between the casters and the office chair base. For the T37 hollow caster wheel, the installation process is relatively more complex. First, point the arrow on the tray towards the front of the seat cushion, align the backrest with the holes on the seat cushion, and snap one side of a hole into the protruding position on the backrest. Then, loosen the rocking knob, and the seat can rock back and forth. In addition, it is necessary to install the tray, connect the chair legs to the chair body, etc., and use accessories such as tray installation screws (6x18). The entire installation process should be carried out in the correct order and according to the requirements to ensure the normal use of the office chair.

Cleaning of Office Chair Caster Wheels

There are certain techniques for cleaning office chair casters. Dealing with hair tangled around the wheels can be time-consuming. You can use small scissors to carefully cut and remove the hair. After removing the hair, to clean the dirt on the wheels, you can wet a facial cleansing cloth and let it air-dry slightly. Place the textured side against the wheel, wrap the wheel with the cloth, and secure it with a rubber band. Then, sit on the chair and move it back and forth, using your body weight and movement to clean the dirt on the wheels. Additionally, you can use invisible tape and stick it on the wheels. This can not only prevent the floor from getting dirty but also prevent the wheels from being too slippery.
