Office Chair Caster Packaging
The packaging of office chair casters usually adopts the form of individual independent packaging followed by centralized containerization. The specific specifications and details are as follows:

1. Individual packaging size and form The individual packaging size of office chair casters is generally 15 cm (length) ร 10 cm (width) ร 5 cm (height). This size design is usually based on the volume of the casters themselves (such as universal or fixed casters with a diameter of about 5-8 cm). The packaging needs to reserve space to accommodate plastic trays or cardboard liners that fix the casters, preventing deformation of the wheels or damage to the bearings due to collisions during transportation. Some high-end casters may use custom-made foam or bubble wrap for secondary protection, but the basic packaging size still follows this standard.
2. Centralized packaging specifications For the convenience of warehousing and transportation, casters are usually packaged in small quantities of 5 pieces per box and then in large quantities of 60 pieces per case. This tiered packaging design has two advantages:
- Small packaging (5 pieces per box): It is convenient for retailers or end-users to split them as needed, avoiding the accelerated aging of the remaining casters exposed to the air after opening the box at one time (such as the oxidation of rubber wheels or the ultraviolet degradation of polyurethane wheels).
- Large packaging (60 pieces per case): It conforms to the volume utilization rate of standard logistics cases (for example, a common 40ร30ร30 cm cardboard box can hold 60 casters, with a space utilization rate of about 80%). At the same time, it reduces the unit transportation cost through centralized packaging.
3. Special packaging forms Some caster products (such as "factory wholesale iron-core polyurethane load-bearing universal casters") may use pure cardboard box packaging. This type of packaging is usually aimed at the following scenarios:
- Large-volume purchases: When factories or distributors make direct purchases, the small packaging step is omitted, and 60 or more casters are directly packaged in cardboard boxes to reduce packaging material costs.
- Heavy-duty casters: For iron-core casters with a load-bearing capacity of more than 200 kg, due to their large size (such as wheels with a diameter of more than 10 cm), the individual packaging may be adjusted to 20ร15ร8 cm, and the large packaging uses thickened corrugated cardboard boxes with internal partitions added to prevent the iron cores from being deformed by mutual extrusion of the wheels.
4. Packaging material selection The mainstream packaging material is corrugated cardboard boxes, which have the advantages of low cost, recyclability, and certain compressive strength (a standard three-layer corrugated cardboard box can withstand a pressure of 50-100 kg). Some exported products may use five-layer corrugated cardboard boxes or add plastic corner protectors to cope with the vibration and stacking pressure during long-distance transportation. The inner packaging materials are mainly recycled paper pulp molding or EPE foam, taking into account both environmental protection and protective performance.
