Office Chair Caster Equipment

Admin October 17, 2026

Office chair caster equipment mainly includes two types of testing instruments: office chair caster life testers and office chair caster durability testers.

The office chair caster life tester is a device specifically designed to test and evaluate the performance of casters. It can simulate the actual scenarios of chairs sliding on both obstructed and unobstructed surfaces. Through this simulated testing, it can comprehensively detect issues such as wear, jamming, and wheel detachment that may occur during the use of casters. This testing method complies with the requirements of office chair testing standards, providing reliable evidence for the quality assessment of casters. It helps manufacturers understand the service life and performance stability of casters, enabling them to optimize and improve their products.

The office chair caster durability tester focuses on evaluating the fatigue pressure and wear resistance of office chairs with casters. Its testing standards conform to international norms such as BIFMA X5.1. This device drives office chairs to move back and forth using a variable-frequency motor, with a fixed stroke of 762mm and a speed controlled between 8 and 12 cycles per minute. During testing, a load of 113 kilograms is applied to the seat surface to accurately simulate the load conditions in actual use. Its clamping fixtures support height adjustment from 80 to 500mm, accommodating the testing needs of different office chair models. The control system combines a PLC module with an LCD display to achieve precise setting and real-time monitoring of testing parameters. Some high-end models are equipped with a dual-station independent testing structure, allowing simultaneous testing of two samples to enhance testing efficiency. The servo motor silent operation system ensures low noise and high stability during the testing process. The device is equipped with imported sensors that can collect key data such as pressure and displacement in real-time, ensuring the accuracy of testing results. It also integrates a power-off protection function to prevent data loss due to accidental shutdowns. In addition, this instrument can set up testing scenarios with smooth surfaces or obstacles, fully meeting the multi-scenario evaluation requirements of the BIFMA standard for caster durability and providing a scientific basis for product quality control.
