Office Chair Care
Office chair care should be carried out comprehensively from four aspects: environmental control, cleaning and maintenance, component maintenance, and precautions.

Environmental Control: Maintain good indoor ventilation and control the environmental humidity between 40% and 60%. Excessive humidity can easily cause leather to crack and fabric to mold, while low humidity may lead to rusting of metal components. Avoid placing the office chair in direct sunlight for long periods, especially for light-colored chair surfaces such as white and gray. Direct sunlight can accelerate leather fading or fabric aging. It is recommended to choose air-drying or short-term sun exposure.
Cleaning and Maintenance:
- Leather Material: Wipe the surface gently with a clean towel dipped in water and wrung out every week, then dry it with a dry towel. If stains are present, use a dedicated leather cleaner with a sponge for cleaning. Strictly avoid using harsh cleaners such as alcohol or gasoline. Apply a dedicated leather conditioner every quarter or half a year to replenish oils and form a protective film.
- Fabric Material: First, use a vacuum cleaner or dry cloth to remove dust. For stubborn stains, use a neutral cleaner with a soft-bristled brush for light scrubbing. If liquids are spilled, immediately absorb them with a dry cloth or sponge, then wipe with a damp cloth and allow to air dry naturally. Do not use a hairdryer.
- Mesh Material: First, pat the surface to remove dust, then use a damp sponge dipped in a small amount of cleaning cream to scrub repeatedly. Focus on cleaning dirty areas, then dry and air out. Alternatively, use a small brush or vacuum cleaner to remove dust and hair. Gently scrub with a mild alkaline detergent, then press repeatedly with a damp cloth until no foam remains, and let it air dry.
- Aluminum Alloy Chair Legs: Wipe with clean water daily and dry the water stains. For stubborn stains, use a mixture of equal parts hot water and white vinegar for cleaning.
- Plastic Material (Armrests and Chair Frame): Simply wipe clean with a cloth daily.
Component Maintenance:
- Metal Chair Frame: Regularly wipe off dust with a dry cloth. For stubborn stains, spray a small amount of Pledge and wipe with a flannel cloth. Avoid using corrosive cleaners.
- Chair Wheels: Regularly clean hair and fiber debris. Choose wheel types according to the floor material (nylon hard wheels for carpets and PU soft wheels for hard floors). After cleaning, spray with an antistatic agent.
- Base: If there is abnormal noise in the tilting function, spray lubricant on the pivot joints or springs. For stuck lifting, drip 1-2 drops of lubricating oil at the connection between the gas rod and the base. If the resistance is too high when adjusting the tilting/reclining system, apply lubricating grease to metal components such as gears and springs. If the armrest adjustment is stiff, spray lubricant on the adjustment rod and slots.
Precautions: Before cleaning, confirm the material type to avoid mixing cleaners. When not in use for a long time, cover with a dust cover to reduce dust accumulation. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight or direct exposure to hot air from a hairdryer for light-colored chair surfaces such as white and gray to prevent oxidation discoloration or material thermal deformation.
