1. Precise Failure Diagnosis

• Operation Check: Repeatedly press and rotate the lifting control button/lever to feel for any jamming or complete lack of resistance. Try to lift and lower the chair and listen for any abnormal hissing air leakage sounds or metal friction sounds.
• Structural Check: Check the connection between the chair base (five-star base) and the underside of the seat cushion for any obvious shaking or abnormal noises to determine if there are any loose or broken connecting parts.

2. Safe Removal of the Old Gas Lift Rod

• Prepare the Environment: Place the chair upside down on a spacious, flat, and stable ground. If the chair can still be raised slightly, try to raise it to the highest position.
• Tap to Loosen: Use a rubber mallet to evenly and gently tap around the connection between the bottom of the gas lift rod and the steel ring of the chassis, using the vibration to loosen the two. Use the same method to tap around the connection between the top of the gas lift rod and the bottom plate of the seat cushion.
• Assisted Removal: For gas lift rods without screw fixation, step on the bottom with both feet and shake it, then find a tool to tap around the circle of the gas lift rod to knock it out.
