Office Chair Cannot Be Locked
The inability to lock an office chair requires targeted solutions based on different situations. Common scenarios and their solutions are as follows:

If the chair cannot be locked in the reclined position, there are two adjustment methods. General Solution: First, locate the handle on the right side of the chair. Push it to the left to lock and pull it to the right to unlock. Additionally, adjust the cylindrical knob on the base. Rotating it clockwise increases the rebound support force, while rotating it counterclockwise decreases it. By adjusting this knob, you can find the appropriate reclined locking force that suits your body's needs. Special Adjustment for Reclining Chairs: First, check if the wired control switch closes automatically. If it does not, the wire control may be loose, broken, or disengaged. In this case, reattach the wire control terminal. Also, check if the small gas cylinder connecting the backrest has air. If the small gas cylinder is out of air, the chair will not lock in the reclined position, and the small gas cylinder needs to be replaced in this situation.
If there is an issue with locking the seat height adjustment, such as hearing a 'click' sound but the chair does not lock, it may be due to a damaged locking mechanism or improper operation. First, operate the locking mechanism correctly according to the chair's instruction manual. Carefully read the steps and precautions regarding height adjustment locking in the manual to ensure correct operation. If the issue persists after following the manual's instructions, the locking mechanism may be damaged. In this case, contact after-sales service for repair. Have a professional inspect and repair the chair and replace any damaged parts.
If you want to lock an office chair to prevent others from sitting on it, there are three types of locks to choose from. Chain Lock: Composed of a high-strength chain and a lock core, use it by wrapping the chain around load-bearing and non-removable parts of the office chair, such as the chair legs or armrest bases, and then securing it with the lock core. This type of lock fits most office chairs with regular structures, is affordable, and easy to operate. Combination Padlock: Does not rely on keys and uses a preset digital code for locking and unlocking. Simply attach the lock shackle between the chair legs or in the gaps of the chair frame to complete the locking. It is suitable for scenarios where you are concerned about losing keys and need quick unlocking. Flexible Cable Lock: The main body is a metal cable with a covering layer, offering greater flexibility. It can easily wrap around irregularly shaped office chairs, securing the chair legs or binding the chair to nearby fixed furniture, such as the legs of an office desk, to increase the difficulty of moving the chair.
