Office Chair Bulk Assembly

Admin October 16, 2026

The steps for assembling an office chair in bulk are as follows:

Step 1: Install the chair base and casters
Insert each caster into the assembly holes of the five-pronged (chair base) one by one, ensuring that each caster is fully seated in the hole. For swivel casters, simply snap them into the corresponding slots on the five-star base. Check that the casters are securely installed to prevent them from coming loose during subsequent use.

Step 2: Install the gas lift
Flip the five-pronged base upside down so that the bottom is facing up. Align the thicker end of the gas lift with the center hole of the five-pronged base and insert it vertically, ensuring it is fully seated. Alternatively, insert the lift rod directly into the middle hole of the five-star base. Note: Choose a gas lift that matches the specifications of the chair base to avoid installation failures or usage risks due to size mismatches.

Step 3: Install the seat plate and seat
Place the seat plate on the bottom of the seat, paying attention to the orientation of the seat plate (usually marked or with grooves corresponding to the seat structure). After aligning the screw holes, use a screwdriver to screw each screw in 3-4 turns (to avoid misalignment caused by tightening all at once), and then tighten them one by one until they are fixed. Some seat plates need to be directly fixed to the seat with screws, ensuring that the screws fully penetrate and are locked tightly.

Step 4: Connect the seat to the gas lift
Align the hole in the bottom of the seat plate with the top of the gas lift, insert it vertically, and press down to the bottom to ensure a secure connection. For some designs, the base needs to be directly placed over the gas lift, and check that it is properly seated to prevent wobbling.

Step 5: Install the backrest
Align the two sides at the bottom of the backrest with the armrest installation holes on both sides of the seat. After insertion, first use 2 screws to fix the bottom of the backrest from the bottom of the armrest brackets. Then align the back of the backrest with the installation holes on the seat brackets and use two wrenches to lock the screws in place (one hand holds the nut, and the other hand tightens the screw). For mesh backrests, first install the backrest brackets and then insert the mesh backrest and fix it with screws.

Step 6: Install the armrests
Press and hold the adjustment button below the armrest surface (some designs have no button and can be inserted directly). Align the left and right armrests with the holes on the armrest brackets and insert them, paying attention to distinguishing between the left and right directions (usually marked on the armrests). After insertion, gently push to confirm that they are securely fastened to prevent them from coming loose during use.

Step 7: Install the headrest
Align the headrest with the middle position at the top of the backrest and press the installation area of the headrest to make it fit the curve of the backrest. Thread a screw through the headrest fixing clip, screw it in 3-4 turns to adjust the position, and then tighten them one by one until they are fixed. Note: The height of the headrest needs to be adjusted according to the user's needs, and check that it is stable after installation.

Tip: Before assembly, check that all accessories are complete and that the tools (such as screwdrivers and wrenches) are suitable. Avoid applying excessive force during the process to prevent damage to the parts. After completion, gently shake each part to check for looseness.
