Office Chair Breakage
Office chair breakage can pose serious safety hazards, especially for pneumatic lifting chairs which carry the risk of explosion and require great attention.

Breakage Cause Analysis
Material Aging and Quality Issues
Poor-quality materials are one of the core factors leading to breakage. For example, chairs made from recycled plastics (PP materials), fragmented wood-spliced panels, or metals with overly thin tube walls have inherently insufficient strength. Such materials are prone to cracking, deformation, or brittle fracture after long-term use. Additionally, if pneumatic lifting chairs use inferior pneumatic rods, their metal tube walls may be too thin or have welding defects, further increasing the risk of bursting.Structural Fatigue and Design Flaws
Key parts of office chairs (such as the connection between the backrest and the base, and the lifting adjustment mechanism) are subject to repeated loads over time, making them prone to the 'fatigue effect'. Micro-cracks gradually accumulate and expand, eventually leading to structural damage. The้ๆฃ (hidden danger, here translated as 'risk') is particularly prominent in pneumatic lifting chairs: qualified pneumatic rods are filled with high-purity nitrogen, while inferior products may be directly filled with ordinary air or low-purity nitrogen. Oxygen in the air is a strong oxidizing agent. When frequently compressed within a closed metal cylinder, the temperature rises sharply, and combined with factors such as high pressure and lubricating oil vapor, it may trigger an explosion.Improper Use and Overloading
Exceeding the designed load-bearing limit (such as having a body weight exceeding the chair's stated load capacity) or subjecting the chair to unbalanced forces over a long period (such as sitting at an angle, stepping on it, or violently shaking it during rotation) can accelerate structural damage to the chair. For example, when a pneumatic lifting chair is at its lowest position, the internal gas is highly compressed, and frequent rapid lifting and lowering can exacerbate heat generation, further weakening the material strength.
Countermeasures
Once office chair breakage is detected, use should be stopped immediately, and the same or similar models should be checked for potential hazards. For pneumatic lifting chairs, it is essential to focus on checking whether the pneumatic rod is leaking gas, making unusual noises, or wobbling, and to confirm whether it has passed safety certifications (such as SGS and BIFMA standards). If the chair is aged or has cracks, it should be replaced promptly to avoid greater losses.
