Office Chair Bracket Process

Admin October 09, 2026

The office chair bracket process mainly includes steel tube bending and frame fabrication, electroplating process, and other process steps.

Steel Tube Bending and Frame Fabrication: This is the fundamental process for office chair brackets. Workers use machines to bend steel tubes into specific shapes to construct the frame at the bottom of the chair. After that, the seat cushion is welded to the frame to ensure structural stability. This step requires high precision in the material selection of steel tubes and bending accuracy. Appropriate steel tube materials can guarantee the strength of the bracket, while precise bending is crucial for the overall comfort and stability of the chair.

Electroplating Process:

  • Core Value: The dense coating formed by electroplating has an important protective function. It can effectively isolate moisture, oxygen, and certain corrosive media, significantly extending the service life of the bracket and improving product quality. At the same time, by adjusting process parameters and coating materials, a variety of appearance colors can be achieved to meet the diverse needs of the market.
  • Production Process: It covers base material pretreatment, such as degreasing and derusting, to remove surface impurities and prepare for subsequent electroplating. Then, the electroplating process is carried out, including steps like copper plating, nickel plating, and chromium plating, to gradually build up the coating. Finally, post-treatment such as passivation and sealing is performed to enhance the stability and corrosion resistance of the coating.
  • Advantages: It can significantly improve the salt spray and humidity resistance of the bracket, enabling it to adapt to more usage environments. It enhances surface hardness and wear resistance, reducing scratches caused by friction and abrasion. It improves surface smoothness and consistency, resulting in a uniform, flat, and shiny surface. It also allows functional electroplating processes to be applied to more cost-effective base materials, replacing some expensive metal materials and achieving ideal performance while controlling costs.

Other Processes:

  • Bracket Component Setup: For example, in a metal bracket for office chairs, a bracket component is set between the seat cushion body and the backrest, including a curved rod, a rotating shaft, and a slider. The functions of these components are achieved through specific connection methods and driving parts. For instance, when the driving part rotates around the axis of the rotating shaft, it drives the slider to slide, and a fixed rod is set on the outer side of the rotating shaft for limiting. These designs enable the chair to have specific adjustment functions.
  • Different Types of Bracket Processes: Seat brackets are classified into fixed, adjustable, and special-function brackets according to their structure and working principle. Fixed brackets are usually made of metal through stamping, welding, or casting processes. Adjustable brackets integrate mechanical adjustment mechanisms. Special-function brackets are designed for specific scenarios, and different scenarios have different process requirements.
