Office Chair Bottom Surface
The common materials for the bottom surface of office chairs are non-woven fabric and high-density polyester, each with its own characteristics.

The bottom surface of an office chair made of non-woven fabric is formed by high-temperature pressing of polyester or polypropylene fibers. This material offers significant price advantages, with relatively low costs, making it a good choice for budget-conscious consumers. At the same time, it has good breathability, allowing air to circulate freely between the bottom surface and the ground, reducing stuffiness and enhancing comfort. Moreover, non-woven fabric is a naturally degradable material, which is relatively environmentally friendly. However, non-woven fabric also has some obvious drawbacks. After three to five years of use, it is prone to shedding debris, which not only affects the appearance of the office chair but may also cause some pollution to the surrounding environment, requiring regular cleaning.
The bottom surface of an office chair made of high-density polyester resembles a tightly woven fishing net in appearance, with a weight per square meter exceeding 100 grams. This structure gives it excellent resistance to pulling and stretching, making it less likely to deform and able to withstand significant external forces without damage, ensuring the stability and durability of the office chair's bottom surface. In humid environments, high-density polyester will not mold, making it very suitable for use in rooms with underfloor heating and in the rainy season in southern China, without worrying about material damage due to moisture. Additionally, black high-density polyester has strong dye fastness and good dirt resistance, remaining relatively clean even after long-term use, with no fading for ten years, reducing the frequency of cleaning and replacement. It can also effectively prevent dust from floating up, keeping indoor air clean, and avoiding scratching floor tiles, providing some protection for the ground. Due to these advantages, high-end office chairs usually use high-density polyester as the bottom surface material.
