Functions Under the Office Chair
The functions under an office chair mainly include basic adjustment functions, special/smart functions, and locking/unlocking functions.

Basic adjustment functions are the core functional categories under an office chair. Adjusting the seat height is a common function. By pressing or lifting the lever, the internal gas lift allows for stepless height adjustment. Some chairs can also be adjusted by rotating the lever up and down; rotating it upwards raises the chair, while rotating it downwards lowers it to accommodate users of different heights. In terms of adjusting the backrest angle/elasticity, the backrest's recline resistance can be changed or locked at a certain angle using a knob or lever, enabling a seamless transition between focused work and reclined rest, and relieving lumbar pressure. Rotating the knob clockwise makes the chair's backrest stiffer, providing stronger support, while rotating it counterclockwise makes the backrest softer, offering more flexible support. The adjusting the seat cushion depth function is available on some chairs equipped with independent slide rail adjustment mechanisms, allowing the seat cushion to move forward and backward. This enables people with different leg lengths to get full thigh support and avoid pressure on the back of the knees. The adjusting the lumbar support position function is available on ergonomic chairs with user-friendly designs that feature independently adjustable lumbar supports. Through up/down buttons or knobs, the lumbar support can be precisely adjusted to the position that best supports the natural curve of the lumbar spine. The recline locking/adjustment function allows setting the maximum recline angle of the backrest or adjusting the damping force during recline to ensure a smooth and safe recline process. Some high-end chairs come with knobs to adjust the recline tightness; those with a heavier weight can tighten it, while those who want to relax during lunch breaks can loosen it.
Special/smart functions add more technological sophistication and convenience to office chairs. The electric adjustment function is available on some high-end smart chairs or executive chairs equipped with electric motors. Through buttons on the control panel, functions such as backrest extension/retraction and footrest lifting/lowering can be controlled with a single touch, enabling a smooth transition from an office posture to a semi-reclined position. The one-touch mode switching function is available on smarter chairs that may have preset modes such as "Office," "Rest," and "Movie Watching." By pressing the corresponding mode button, the chair will automatically adjust to the preset angle and support position. The USB charging port function is available on some chairs that integrate USB ports on the armrest sides or near the base to meet the charging needs of mobile devices, allowing users to charge their devices anytime.
Locking/unlocking functions ensure the safety and flexibility of office chair use. Pushing the lever inwards locks the chair in its current state, while pulling the lever outwards unlocks it.
