Office Chair Bottom Circle
There are mainly two designs for the circular components at the bottom of office chairs, namely the pneumatic rod control knob and the cylindrical knob in the chassis adjustment mechanism.

Pneumatic Rod Control Knob: Some office chairs are equipped with a circular knob beneath the seat. Its core function is to control the pneumatic rod. The pneumatic rod is filled with high-pressure nitrogen gas. By rotating this knob, the compression or release state of the nitrogen gas can be changed, thereby adjusting the height of the seat. For example, rotating it clockwise may raise the seat, while rotating it counterclockwise lowers it. Additionally, some advanced models of knobs also have the function of adjusting the tightness of the chair back's recline. Users can rotate the knob according to their own needs to adjust the resistance of the chair back, enabling a more comfortable supporting effect when the chair back leans backward.
Cylindrical Knob in the Chassis Adjustment Mechanism: The rotating chassis of an office chair is a core supporting component of the seat, and its bottom may contain a cylindrical knob. This knob is part of the chassis control mechanism and is mainly used to adjust the elasticity of the chair back's recline. By rotating this knob, users can change the force required for the chair back to lean backward, thus adapting to different usage scenarios and body weight requirements. For example, users with lighter body weights may need to adjust the knob to a looser position to make the chair back lean backward more easily, while users with heavier body weights may need to adjust the knob to a tighter position to provide sufficient support. As a key component of the office chair, the chassis not only integrates functions such as horizontal rotation and recline angle control but also connects with the pneumatic rod to jointly ensure the comfort and safety of the seat. Its design rationality directly affects the user experience, so it is particularly important to choose an office chair with a reliable chassis design.
