Office Chair Bolts
There are various types of bolts commonly used in office chairs, including hexagon socket screws, five-star rubber-headed screws, L-shaped connecting nuts, furniture screws, and T-shaped screws, each suitable for connecting and fixing different components.

Hexagon socket screws are one of the most common types in office chairs. They have a hexagon socket head and require a special hexagon socket wrench for installation, featuring a compact structure and uniform force distribution. Common specifications include 12.9-grade black hexagon socket set screws M3 and M4. These high-strength screws (12.9 grade being the highest strength level) are typically used to connect components that require high load-bearing capacity, such as chair backs and armrests. M8*20 black zinc 8.8-grade internal and external hexagon screws are mostly used for connecting the chassis and chair legs. The black zinc coating enhances rust resistance, and the 8.8-grade strength meets daily usage requirements.
Five-star rubber-headed screws are represented by M8 star-shaped rubber-coated bolts. Their heads are star-shaped and covered with a rubber layer, combining aesthetics with anti-slip functionality. The rubber layer reduces damage to the chair surface material during installation and provides some cushioning, often used for fixing the chair seat to the chassis, especially suitable for leather or soft chair surfaces.
L-shaped connecting nuts come in two angle specifications: 90ยฐ or 98ยฐ, mainly used for components requiring vertical or specific angle connections, such as the connection between the chair back and seat. Their L-shaped structure can disperse stress, avoiding looseness caused by force in a single direction and ensuring connection stability.
Among furniture screws, semi-round head hexagon socket screws with washers and knurled patterns M6 and M8 have semi-round heads, paired with hexagon socket drive slots and anti-slip knurled patterns, ensuring easy installation and preventing screw looseness. The washer design increases the contact area, reducing damage to the material, often used for connecting chair legs and crossbeams.
T-shaped screws, exemplified by office chair chassis T-shaped screws M10X300MM, have T-shaped heads that can be embedded into preset slots in the chassis,้ ๅ (here, it should be 'in combination with' or 'along with') long screws for deep fixation, suitable for scenarios requiring high-strength and long-distance connections, such as fixing the gas lift to the chassis.
The selection of different bolts requires comprehensive consideration of component materials, load-bearing requirements, and installation environment. Reasonably matching specifications and strength levels can significantly enhance the durability and safety of office chairs.
