Office Chair Black Material
There are mainly the following situations regarding the black materials of office chairs:

Firstly, the common black fabric materials at the bottom of chairs include non-woven fabric and high-density polyester. Non-woven fabric is similar to compacted marshmallows. It is formed by pressing polyester or polypropylene fibers at high temperatures. This material is relatively inexpensive, has good breathability, and can be naturally degraded, meeting environmental protection requirements. However, non-woven fabric also has some drawbacks. It is prone to shedding debris after three to five years of use. High-density polyester, on the other hand, is like a tightly woven fishing net, with a weight per square meter of over 100 grams. It has excellent durability, strong resistance to wear and tear, and is not easily deformed when pulled. It will not get moldy even when damp. Black high-density polyester is also dirt-resistant and has firm dyeing that does not fade easily.
Secondly, the black frames of office chairs made of injection-molded integrated materials are usually made of high-quality polypropylene and polyurethane, similar to white frames. Compared to other colors, black materials have a unique advantage, which is the ability to better conceal scratches and wear. In daily use, office chairs are inevitably subject to collisions and friction, resulting in scratches. The black frame can to some extent cover up these flaws, making the chair look relatively cleaner and more durable, and extending its visual service life.
In addition, some office chairs are made of steel and have a special treatment to appear black. For example, the KULLABERG office chair has a seat and backrest frame, star-shaped base shaft, star-shaped base legs, and seat pan all made of steel, which is treated with an epoxy/polyester powder coating to appear black. This treatment not only makes the chair more aesthetically pleasing but also enhances the corrosion resistance and wear resistance of the steel, improving the overall quality and durability of the chair and enabling it to adapt to more complex usage environments.
