Hanging a Map Behind the Office Chair
A map can be hung behind the office chair (at the back of the office area). Here are the specific reasons:
From the perspective of symbolism
Hanging a local map at the back of the office area has a unique symbolic meaning. Taking the local area as the foundation means focusing on the present and solidifying one's development base. At the same time, it implies looking towards a broader space, encouraging people to forge ahead, not being confined to the immediate small scope, actively seeking greater development opportunities and space, and stimulating personal initiative and a desire for exploration.
From the perspective of Feng Shui
- Cultivating a big-picture mindset: A map represents the overall situation, trends, and the whole. Hanging it at the back of the office area can subtly influence people's ways of thinking. In daily work, people will unconsciously view problems from a higher perspective and a broader vision, thus making wiser and more comprehensive decisions, which helps enhance personal leadership and strategic vision.
- Regarded as a backing chart: In the concept of Feng Shui, a map can to some extent be regarded as a backing chart. It implies that one's career can receive help from influential people, just like having a solid backing support, enabling steady progress. This psychologicalๆ็คบ (psychological hint) can enhance people's self-confidence and sense of security, making them more calm and composed when facing challenges in work and life.
From the perspective of practical functions
Hanging a map in the office can effectively broaden people's field of vision. When people focus on their work for a long time, they are prone to falling into local thinking. The sense of space brought by the map can trigger an illusion of open space, inspiring people's big-picture awareness and thinking patterns. It helps people jump out of narrow thinking frameworks and think about problems from a more macro perspective, which is conducive to improving work efficiency and innovation ability. However, there are also things to note when hanging a map. One should carefully select a high-quality and appropriate map and avoid hanging too many. Because hanging too many maps may give people a feeling of boundless emptiness, which may instead have some negative psychological impacts.
