Office Chair Base Fixation

Admin October 22, 2026

The main methods for fixing the base of an office chair include drilling installation, base clip fixation, and basic fixation through correct installation steps.

Drilling Installation: This method is suitable for spaces requiring long-term fixation, such as school classrooms and public cafes, due to its strong stability. During operation, first mark the corresponding points on the chair legs and the ground. This step is crucial as it is necessary to avoid hidden underground water and electricity pipelines. If not avoided, drilling may damage these lines and cause safety accidents. After marking the positions, use professional tools to drill holes, then insert expansion screws into the holes. Through the tight combination of the expansion screws and the ground, the base of the office chair is firmly fixed to the floor. However, this method leaves slight holes in the ground, so it is more suitable for areas where the layout will not change frequently.

Base Clip Fixation: This method is mainly suitable for gaming chairs and office chairs that come with matching accessories. The operation is relatively simple. Directly clip the matching plastic base onto the bottom of the chair, then press the base onto the ground. Relying on the tension of the clips, the chair can be firmly fixed. No drilling is required throughout the process, causing no damage to the ground. Moreover, the appearance remains clean after disassembly, making it an ideal fixation method for places where one does not want to damage the ground or where chairs need to be moved frequently.

Basic Fixation through Installation Steps: When installing an office chair, there is also a set of steps to achieve basic fixation of the base. First, insert the chair wheels one by one into the five-claw assembly holes, ensuring that the chair wheels are firmly installed. Then, flip the five-claw base, align the thicker end of the gas lift with the center hole of the five-claw base, and place it in. Next, place the seat plate on the cushion, paying attention to the orientation of the seat plate, and align it with the four screw holes before tightening the screws one by one. Finally, align the cushion with the gas lift and insert it into the hole of the seat plate, and the base part is basically fixed.
