Office Chair Base Designs
The common designs of office chair bases mainly include five-star bases, four-star bases, round bases, and triangular bases, among others.

The five-star base is currently the most common design for office chair bases. It consists of a central axis and five outward-radiating legs, resembling a pentagram in shape. The advantage of this design lies in its excellent stability. The five legs can evenly distribute the weight of the human body, allowing the chair to maintain balance in all directions. Even if the user moves frequently or turns around, the chair is not prone to tipping over. Additionally, the design of five-star bases is usually simple and elegant, suitable for various styles of office environments. Moreover, many five-star bases are equipped with adjustable casters, facilitating flexible movement of the chair on the ground to meet the needs of different positions during office work.
The four-star base is used less frequently compared to the five-star base. It is composed of a central axis and four legs. Although the stability of the four-star base is slightly inferior to that of the five-star base, in some office spaces with compact space requirements, such as small offices or home office areas, the four-star base can save a certain amount of space. Furthermore, its unique design adds a distinctive aesthetic touch to the office environment.
The round base is a relatively special design. Its base is circular and usually ensures stability through multiple support points. The advantage of the round base lies in its smooth and rounded appearance, without sharp edges or corners, reducing the risk of collision with surrounding objects and personnel during use, thus offering higher safety. At the same time, this design can serve as a good decorative element in office spaces that pursue a unique design style.
The triangular base is relatively rare. It consists of three legs and has relatively weaker stability. However, in some specific office scenarios, such as temporary makeshift office areas or places with strict weight requirements for chairs, the triangular base may be chosen due to its simple structure and light weight.
