Method 1: Adjusting with the control lever under the seat For most computer chairs, the backrest tilt is adjusted using the control lever under the seat. When you pull the control lever outward, it detaches from the backrest fixing hole, allowing the backrest to tilt backward freely. To return it to the original position, the backrest will automatically rebound under the action of a strong spring. If the backrest cannot automatically return to its original position and is locked after tilting backward, it may be because the control lever has been accidentally pushed into the fixing hole. In this case, you need to pull the control lever out again to return the backrest to its position, and then decide whether to push it back into the fixing hole to lock the angle as needed.

Method 2: Operating with the adjuster under the chair Some chairs are equipped with an independent adjuster under the seat. When operating, you need to complete two actions simultaneously: first, pull the adjuster upward while applying force backward to tilt the chair back. Before reaching the desired tilt angle, you need to keep applying force backward continuously. After adjusting to the right position, release the adjuster to fix the angle. This method requires attention to the synchronization of applying force and operating the adjuster to avoid angle rebound due to releasing your hand too early.

Method 3: Button-based locking and unlocking adjustment Some chairs use buttons to control the backward-tilting function. When you push the button inward, the chair is in a locked state, and at this time, you can only adjust the seat height and cannot change the backward-tilting angle. Pulling the button outward unlocks it, allowing you to freely adjust the backward-tilting angle. After adjusting to a comfortable position, push the button inward again to lock the current angle. This design enables function switching through simple push-and-pull actions, with intuitive operation and easy angle fixing.

Precautions:

1. Before adjusting, confirm the chair's structure to avoid damage caused by misoperation.
2. If the backrest cannot be fixed or rebounds abnormally after adjustment, check whether the control lever/button is fully reset.
