Office Chair Backrest Retraction
The methods for retracting the backrest of an office chair vary depending on the type, with common adjustment methods as follows:

For pneumatic-rod-adjusted office chairs, the adjustment process is relatively simple. There is usually an adjustment lever beneath the chair. When seated, pull the lever upward with your hand, lean your body backward, and the backrest will tilt backward along with your body until it reaches a comfortable angle. Release the lever to fix the backrest at that angle. To return the backrest to its original upright position, pull the lever upward again and sit upright, and the backrest will automatically return. This adjustment method utilizes the elastic principle of the pneumatic rod, controlling the change in air pressure through the lever to achieve backrest angle adjustment.
For knob-adjusted office chairs, the adjustment knob is generally located on the side or bottom of the chair. When turned clockwise, the backrest gradually tightens, and the angle becomes relatively fixed, ensuring that the backrest does not sway randomly during use. When turned counterclockwise, the backrest loosens, allowing the user to tilt it backward to the desired angle based on their own strength. This adjustment method changes the internal mechanical structure of the backrest through the rotation of the knob, thereby controlling the tightness and angle of the backrest.
For handle-adjusted office chairs, there is a handle on the outer side of the seat. Pulling the handle upward allows the backrest to tilt backward, meeting the user's need to lean back and rest. Pulling the handle downward returns the backrest to its upright position. This adjustment method is easy to operate, controlling the movement direction of the backrest through the up-and-down pulling of the handle.
For reclining-handle-adjusted office chairs, the adjustment handle is usually located beneath the seat, sometimes under the right armrest. Pulling the handle unlocks the reclining function. Pull the adjustment lever upward while naturally leaning your body backward, and the backrest will tilt backward according to the force of your back. Find a comfortable angle (recommended between 100 and 110 degrees) and release the lever to lock it. To return to the upright position, pull the lever again and sit slightly forward, and the backrest will bounce back. This adjustment method allows for precise adjustment of the backrest angle according to the user's needs, providing a more personalized user experience.
