Office Chair Backrest Recline
The adjustment methods for the backrest recline of office chairs vary depending on the chair type and design. Common adjustment mechanisms include lever adjustment systems, knob adjustment systems, and pneumatic adjustment systems, with specific operations as follows:

For lever adjustment systems, first locate the adjustment lever, usually positioned beneath the seat near the right or left side. If the chair has a recline lock feature, gently pull up or push the lever to release the lock. Then, shift your body weight backward while adjusting the lever to achieve a comfortable recline angle for the backrest. If the chair has a locking function, after adjusting to the desired angle, pull up or push the lever again to lock the position. Some office chairs have a handle on the right side; a gentle pull unlocks the backrest, allowing it to move freely. Pulling out the control lever on the right side of the seat cushion enables free recline, and a gentle push locks it at the desired angle. To return to an upright position, pull the control lever outward, give your back a push, and then push the lever back in once the chair is upright.
For knob adjustment systems, first locate the knob, typically situated near the center of the lower part of the seat close to theๆฏๆฑ (support column). When adjusting the recline tension, turning the knob clockwise usually increases the backrest's recline resistance, while turning it counterclockwise decreases the resistance. Some chairs may have a separate knob for adjusting the recline angle; refer to the product manual for specific operations. Additionally, the cylindrical knob on the chassis can adjust the recline elasticity; turning it clockwise enhances the backrest's rebound support, while turning it counterclockwise weakens it.
The pneumatic lever in pneumatic adjustment systems is usually arranged together with the height adjustment lever. Adjust the recline by pushing in different directions. The pneumatic system provides a smooth adjustment experience; a gentle pull on the lever allows you to adjust the backrest to a comfortable angle.
If the office chair's backrest fails to return to its original position after reclining, it may be because the control lever has been accidentally pushed into the fixing hole, preventing the backrest from resetting properly. In this case, pull the control lever out again to allow the backrest to return smoothly, and then push the control lever back into the fixing hole. When adjusting the recline of an office chair, pay attention to balance and stability, ensuring that the chair's center of gravity is not too far back to prevent tipping over.
