Lowering the Backrest of an Office Chair
The method for lowering the backrest of an office chair varies depending on the type of chair. Here are the adjustment methods for common types:

Pneumatic Rod Adjustment Type: This is a relatively common adjustment method. The adjustment lever is usually located directly below the front of the seat and is a horizontal metal pull rod. To adjust, sit on the chair and pull up the adjustment lever with your hand. At this point, lean back naturally, and the backrest will tilt backward with the force of your back. To lower the backrest, that is, to make the backrest more upright, find the appropriate angle while leaning back and then release the adjustment lever, and the backrest will be locked in that position. To return to the original angle, pull up the adjustment lever again and sit up straight, and the backrest will return to its initial state. This adjustment method is relatively simple, and the backrest angle can be easily adjusted through the cooperation of the pull rod and body movements, meeting the needs of different users for the degree of backrest tilt, whether they want a more upright sitting position for office work or a slightly reclined position for relaxation.
Knob Adjustment Type: The adjustment knob on some chairs is located on the left or right edge of the seat cushion and is a rotary structure. To adjust, sit on the chair and turn the knob counterclockwise, at which point the backrest will loosen. You can then lean the backrest backward to the desired angle according to your own strength. To lower the backrest, make it more upright, and then release your hand, and the backrest will be fixed in the current position. This adjustment method is relatively precise, and users can fine-tune the backrest angle by slowly turning the knob to find the most comfortable sitting position for themselves, especially suitable for people with more precise sitting posture requirements.
Handle Adjustment Type: Some office chairs have a handle on the outside of the seat. To adjust, simply pull down the handle, and the backrest will return forward, thus achieving the effect of lowering the backrest. This adjustment method is convenient to operate and does not require complex movements. It is very practical when you need to quickly adjust the backrest angle, for example, when you need to switch from a more relaxed reclined state to an upright office state in a short time.
