Office Chair Back Installation
The installation method for the back of an office chair should be selected according to the specific model and structure. Here are some common types and steps:

1. Livorno M40 Office Chair This type of chair back features a pin-type design. During installation, insert the chair back into the preset pin hole on the seat at an oblique angle. After ensuring that the buckle is fully embedded, cover and affix the pin cover. This process does not require tools, but attention should be paid to the engagement direction between the pin and the chair back to avoid forcing it in and causing plastic parts to break.
2. Universal Office Chairs (e.g., Sihoo Ergonomic Chair) After the seat is installed, the chair back is usually connected to the seat via screws or pins. If it is fixed with screws, align the chair back with the threaded holes on the back of the seat, use the matching screws to tighten them preliminarily, adjust the angle of the chair back, confirm the perpendicularity, and then fully tighten them. If it is a pin structure, align the buckle at the bottom of the chair back with the slot on the seat and press it down vertically. A clicking sound indicates that it is installed in place.
3. Wooden Office Chairs For wooden structures, it is crucial to align the crossbar holes. During installation, position the large hole of the crossbar outward. The side with three holes is used to fix the backrest. Ensure that the large hole of the crossbar is at the bottom and the small hole is at the top. After preliminary fixation with medium-sized screws, adjust the relative position between the chair back and the crossbar to ensure that the backrest is perpendicular and does not wobble. Finally, use a rubber mallet to lightly tap the small wooden stick into the crossbar hole to assist in fully embedding the screws.
4. Office Chairs with Pneumatic Rods Some models require a two-step installation: First, connect the chair back to the chassis via screws or buckles. After confirming that the connection is secure, insert the chassis vertically into the hole at the top of the pneumatic rod. Key Precautions: When connecting the pneumatic rod to the chair feet, it must be kept vertical to avoid tilting it in, which could damage the internal seals or cause the pneumatic rod to fail.
General Precautions:
- Before installation, check all components, including screws, pins, covers, etc., to avoid missing parts during the process.
- For wooden chair installations, it is recommended to use a rubber mallet for tapping to prevent damage caused by direct contact between metal tools and the wood.
- When tightening screws, it is advisable to do so in stages: First, use your hands or a screwdriver to preliminarily fix all connection points, and then use tools to fully tighten them one by one to prevent the chair back from tilting due to unilateral force.
- After installation, check the stability of the chair back by gently shaking it or applying pressure while sitting to confirm that there is no looseness or abnormal noise.
