Office Chair Assembly Video

Admin October 09, 2026

Assembly videos for office chairs from various sources provide multiple installation steps. The following is a detailed installation process compiled comprehensively:

I. Installation of Basic Components

  1. Chair Legs and Casters: Insert the five casters (or swivel casters) one by one vertically into the assembly holes of the five-star base (chair legs). Ensure that the snap-in mechanisms are fully embedded to prevent looseness. Some videos emphasize the need to check the flexibility of the casters.
  2. Gas Lift Installation: Align the thicker end of the gas lift with the center hole of the five-star base and insert it vertically. Ensure that the gas lift is perpendicular to the chair legs to avoid instability during use due to tilting.

II. Connection of the Seat Cushion and the Base

  1. Base Fixation: Place the base on the seat cushion, paying attention to the orientation of the base (such as the direction of the tray's curvature). Align it with the four screw holes and tighten the four B screws (or thick screws) in stages: first screw them in by 3-4 turns, and then fully fix them one by one to prevent the base from shifting.
  2. Connection of the Seat Cushion and the Gas Lift: Align the seat cushion with the installed base with the top of the gas lift and insert it vertically into the base hole. Ensure that the gas lift is aligned with the center of the seat cushion.

III. Backrest Installation

  1. Connection of the Backrest and the Tray/Armrests:
    • If the backrest needs to be connected to the tray first: Align the three holes at the bottom of the backrest with the outward-curved side of the T-frame (tray bracket) and fix them with three slender screws.
    • If the backrest is directly connected to the armrests: Align the two sides at the bottom of the backrest with the installation positions of the armrests. First, use two C screws to fix the bottom of the backrest from the bottom of the armrest bracket, and then align the installation holes at the back of the backrest with those of the seat cushion bracket. Use D screws (or with the help of a wrench) to lock and fix them.
  2. Insertion of the Backrest into the Seat Cushion: Insert the entire installed backrest into the tray or armrest bracket holes of the seat cushion. Ensure that the insertion depth is sufficient to prevent wobbling.

IV. Installation of Armrests and Headrests

  1. Armrest Installation:
    • Press the button below the armrest surface (if any) and insert the left and right armrests into the armrest bracket holes respectively. Ensure that the snap-in mechanisms are in place.
    • Some videos require further fixation with screws: For example, use four M630mm screws to connect the armrests and the seat cushion, or use two M825mm screws to connect the armrest brackets and the armrests and install decorative covers.
  2. Headrest Installation: Align the headrest with the middle position at the top of the backrest, press it to make it fit the backrest, and tighten it with two E screws (or M6*25mm screws) through the fixed snap-in mechanisms. Some need to be tightened in stages to prevent shifting.

V. Final Inspection and Decoration

  1. Re-tightening of Screws: Check whether all screws (such as those at the connections of the armrests, backrest, and headrest) are tightened to prevent looseness during use.
  2. Installation of Decorative Parts: Snap on black decorative buttons and diamond-shaped decorative panels on the back of the backrest (if any) to enhance aesthetics.

Precautions:

  • Check the parts list before installation to avoid omissions.
  • Tightening the screws in stages can prevent component shifting.
  • The gas lift should be installed vertically to ensure normal lifting and lowering functions.
