Office Chair Assembly Method
The assembly method for an office chair typically includes the following steps:

Step 1: Install the casters and chair base
Attach each caster to the corresponding hole on the chair base, ensuring that each caster is fully seated and rotates freely. After installation, insert the gas lift vertically into the center hole of the chair base, ensuring that the bottom of the gas lift fits snugly against the base. The gas lift is the core component for adjusting the seat height and must remain vertical to prevent wobbling during subsequent use.
Step 2: Secure the seat plate and seat
Place the seat plate on the bottom of the seat, paying attention to its orientation (usually indicated by clear markings or notches for alignment). After aligning the screw holes, use a screwdriver to insert each screw 3-4 turns to initially secure the seat plate; then tighten the screws in a diagonal sequence to prevent the seat plate from shifting due to uneven force. The seat plate is a key component connecting the seat to the gas lift and must be installed securely.
Step 3: Connect the backrest and seat
Align the bottom sides of the backrest with the armrest mounting holes on both sides of the seat, gently insert them, and secure the bottom of the backrest with two screws from the bottom of the armrest brackets. Then, align the back of the backrest with the mounting holes on the seat bracket and use two wrenches to lock the screws in place (i.e., one wrench holds the nut while the other tightens the screw). This step ensures that the backrest and seat are tightly connected to prevent loosening or noise during subsequent use.
Step 4: Install the seat assembly and gas lift
Vertically insert the base of the assembled seat assembly (including the backrest) into the top of the gas lift, ensuring sufficient insertion depth and no misalignment. Some gas lifts may have a snap-fit or threaded design at the top, requiring adjustments based on the specific structure. After installation, gently press down on the seat to test whether the gas lift's height adjustment function works properly.
Step 5: Install the armrests and headrest
Press the button below the armrest surface (if applicable) and insert the left and right armrests into the holes on the armrest brackets until you hear a 'click' sound, indicating they are properly installed. Place the headrest in the center at the top of the backrest, press it down to fit snugly against the backrest, and then insert a screw through the headrest's fixing clip and tighten it (again, tighten 3-4 turns initially and then reinforce each one). The height of the headrest can be adjusted as needed but must be fixed with screws after installation.
Precautions:
- Before assembly, check that all components are complete to avoid having to redo the work due to missing parts midway.
- When tightening screws, do so in stages to prevent stripping or component deformation from excessive force at once.
- If the gas lift does not adjust in height, it may be due to incorrect installation direction or insufficient gas pressure; recheck or contact after-sales service.
