Office Chair Assembly

Admin October 08, 2026

The assembly of office chairs requires selecting an appropriate method based on specific needs and available materials, with common approaches including standard assembly, alternative modification, and simple splicing.

I. Steps for Assembling a Standard Office Chair

If assembling a brand-new office chair, it is necessary to follow the design structure step by step. Taking the 2022A model as an example, the core steps include:

  1. Prepare materials and tools: Ensure all components are present (such as base casters, screws J/K, washers L, chassis, armrests, etc.), and prepare tools like screwdrivers and sockets.
  2. Install base casters: Align the casters with the base holes, press firmly until the clips secure them, and ensure smooth rotation.
  3. Secure the chassis: Use screws J and K along with washers L to connect the chassis to the base, ensuring the screws are tightened appropriately to avoid looseness or stripping.
  4. Install armrests: Align the armrests with the reserved holes on the chassis, and fix them with screws and sockets, ensuring symmetry and no wobbling.
  5. Overall adjustment: Check that all components are securely connected, adjust the direction of the casters, and test whether the chair's height adjustment and rotation functions work properly.

II. Alternative Solutions for Insufficient Comfort in Office Chairs

If the existing office chair cannot meet the need for a nap, consider modification or replacement:

  1. Purchase a camping chair: Choose a camping chair with an adjustable angle and a footrest. During lunch breaks, unfold it to a flat position, and fold it for storage afterward, saving space and suitable for outdoor or home leisure scenarios.
  2. Add auxiliary accessories: Add a foldable footrest or lumbar support to the office chair to enhance support, but ensure compatibility with the original chair structure.

III. Simple Splicing to Achieve Lying Function

If only basic furniture like stools is available, temporary alternatives to office chairs can be created through splicing:

  1. Side-by-side splicing method: Place two long stools or wide square stools of similar size side by side, align the edges, and secure the sides with ropes or straps to form a simple lying surface.
  2. Staggered height splicing method: Select a sturdy office chair with a backrest and a low stool with a height of โ‰ค35 cm. Place the low stool tightly against the front of the chair back, sit on the chair, and place your feet on the low stool surface to form a semi-reclined position.

Precautions: Ensure the structure is stable during splicing to avoid sliding or tipping; for long-term use, it is recommended to choose professional furniture to ensure safety and comfort.
