Office Chair Armrest Cleaning

Admin October 13, 2026

The cleaning of office chair armrests requires choosing the appropriate method based on the material. Here are the cleaning points for armrests of different materials:

Leather Armrests

Leather armrests have a good texture but are relatively delicate. When cleaning, first gently wipe the surface dust with a clean damp cloth to prevent the dust from scratching the leather during subsequent cleaning. Then, use a specialized leather cleaner and follow the instructions on the cleaner. Generally, spray the cleaner onto a soft cloth and then gently wipe the armrest surface. After cleaning, it is also necessary to use a leather conditioner for maintenance to keep the leather soft and glossy and extend its service life. Be careful to avoid using irritating solvents such as alcohol, as these solvents may dissolve the coating on the leather surface, causing the leather to harden and crack.

Plastic Armrests

Cleaning plastic armrests is relatively simple. You can directly wipe them with a diluted neutral cleaner. Mix the neutral cleaner with water in an appropriate proportion, and then use a soft cloth dipped in the mixture to wipe the armrest surface, which can effectively remove stains and dust. For the crevices on the armrests, you can use a cotton swab to clean them carefully. Dip the cotton swab in a small amount of cleaner and insert it into the crevices for wiping to ensure that the stains in the crevices are also completely removed. For daily maintenance, just wipe them clean with a dry cloth to keep the armrests tidy.

Fabric Armrests

Fabric armrests are prone to absorbing stains, so they require more careful cleaning. First, use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust from the armrest surface to suck out the dust adsorbed in the fabric fibers and prevent the dust from spreading during subsequent cleaning, making the stains more difficult to remove. Then, use a fabric cleaner along with a soft brush to gently scrub. Spray the fabric cleaner onto the stains and gently scrub along the texture of the fabric with a soft brush. Be careful not to scrub too hard to avoid damaging the fabric fibers. If you encounter oil stains, deal with them promptly with baking soda powder or a specialized stain remover. Apply the baking soda powder or stain remover to the oil stains, let it sit for a while, and then gently scrub with a soft brush to prevent the stains from penetrating into the fibers and increasing the difficulty of cleaning.

E103 Armchair

For the E103 armchair, during daily cleaning, simply wipe the chair surface with a soft cloth dampened with water to remove surface dust and slight stains. If you encounter stubborn stains, a little neutral cleaner will make them clean with a wipe. Drop the neutral cleaner onto a soft cloth and then wipe the stubborn stains, gently rubbing to remove the stains.
