Office Chair Armrest Cleaning

Admin October 12, 2026

The cleaning of office chair armrests requires choosing the appropriate method based on the material. Here are the cleaning points for armrests of different materials:

Leather Armrests

Leather armrests have a good texture, but special attention is needed during cleaning. First, gently wipe the surface dust with a clean damp cloth to prevent the dust from scratching the leather during subsequent cleaning. Then, use a dedicated leather cleaner and apply it evenly to the armrests according to the cleaner's instructions. Next, gently wipe it with a soft dry cloth to remove stains and excess cleaner. After cleaning, use a leather conditioner for maintenance. The conditioner can form a protective film on the leather surface, preventing the leather from cracking and aging while increasing its luster. Never use irritating solvents such as alcohol. Alcohol can dissolve the oils on the leather surface, causing the leather to harden, fade, and severely damage the leather.

Plastic Armrests

Plastic armrests are relatively easy to clean. Simply wipe them with a diluted neutral cleaner. Neutral cleaners will not corrode the plastic surface and can effectively remove stains. When dealing with crevices, you can carefully clean them with a cotton swab. The small head of the cotton swab can reach deep into the crevices to remove the dust and dirt hidden inside. For daily maintenance, just wipe them clean with a dry cloth to keep the armrest surface tidy.

Fabric Armrests

Fabric armrests are prone to absorbing stains, and cleaning requires multiple steps. First, remove dust with a vacuum cleaner. The vacuum cleaner can quickly suck away the dust and debris on the armrest surface, preventing the dust from spreading during subsequent cleaning. Then, use a fabric cleaner along with a soft brush to gently scrub. Spray the cleaner evenly on the armrests and gently scrub along the fabric texture with a soft brush to remove stains. When encountering oil stains, promptly treat them with baking soda powder or a dedicated stain remover. Baking soda powder has the function of absorbing oil stains, and the dedicated stain remover can specifically remove oil stains, preventing them from penetrating into the fibers and increasing the cleaning difficulty.

E103 Armchair

For the E103 armchair, for daily cleaning, simply wipe the chair surface with a soft cloth dampened with water. The soft cloth is gentle and will not scratch the chair surface, and water can dissolve general dust and stains. When encountering stubborn stains, adding a neutral cleaner will make them easy to remove. Neutral cleaners can effectively remove stubborn stains without damaging the chair surface.
