Office Chair Armrest Adjustment
The adjustment methods for office chair armrests vary depending on the chair type and design. Here are some common adjustment techniques:

For office chairs with a single armrest, the adjustment process is relatively straightforward. To raise the seat height, simply lift the armrest upwards. To lower the seat height, sit on the chair first, then lift the armrest upwards. The seat will descend under the weight of your body, and once you reach the desired height, release the armrest to secure it in place.
If the chair has two armrests, you need to identify which one adjusts the height and which one adjusts the angle. After determining the height-adjustment armrest, the methods for raising and lowering the seat are the same as those for a single-armrest chair, i.e., lift the armrest upwards to raise the seat and sit on the chair and lift the armrest upwards to lower the seat. The other armrest, used for angle adjustment, typically changes the angle of the seat back or seat panel through rotation or pressing. Refer to the markings on the chair or the instruction manual for specific operations.
For mechanical lift chairs, the armrest uses a screw mechanism for height adjustment. Rotating the armrest changes the seat height. Turning the armrest counterclockwise lowers the seat, while turning it clockwise raises the seat. This adjustment method is quite precise, allowing for fine-tuning of the seat height according to personal needs.
Some chairs require coordinated movements during adjustment. For example, while sitting on the seat, lift the armrest and lightly lift your hips by pressing your feet on the ground, causing the seat to leave the ground. Once you reach the appropriate height, release the armrest to secure the seat in place.
Additionally, the rocker handles on some chairs have special functions. The rocker handle can be used to adjust the rebound force of the seat back. After enabling the back-reclining function, turning the rocker handle clockwise generally increases the rebound force of the seat back, while turning it counterclockwise decreases it. There is also a claim that rocking the rocker handle can raise the seat panel, and pressing a lever beside it can lower the seat panel. Before use, it is recommended to carefully read the chair's instruction manual to understand the specific functions of the rocker handle.
