Office Chair Airbag Removal
Exercise caution when removing the airbag from an office chair. Non-professionals are advised to contact after-sales service or a repair technician for assistance. Below are general steps and precautions:

Remove the Entire Seat If the office chair has a detachable structure (e.g., with casters or height adjustment features), use professional tools (such as socket wrenches and screwdrivers) to remove the fixing bolts or caster adjustment mechanisms first. Before operation, record the positions, quantities, and installation directions of the bolts to avoid difficulties during subsequent reinstallation. Some seats may need to be completely detached from the base, so be careful to protect the connecting wires or air tubes.
Locate and Remove the Fixing Screws The airbag is usually fixed to the seat frame with two bolts. The screw positions may be at the connection between the seat back and cushion, on the sides, or at the bottom. Use tools of the corresponding size to loosen the screws. If the screws are rusty, spray a loosening agent to assist in removal. Do not forcefully pry as this may damage the seat frame or the airbag's fixing structure.
Detach the Damper (if applicable) Some airbags have a damper installed in front (used for cushioning or fixing the position), which needs to be removed via clips or bolts. When operating, gently press the clips or slowly loosen the bolts to avoid breaking the damper or deforming the seat structure due to excessive force.
Disconnect the Wire Harness If there are sensor or inflation device wires (such as air pressure sensors or control modules) between the airbag and the seat, disconnect the plugs first. When operating, pinch the clips on both sides of the plug and pull it out slowly. Do not directly pull on the wire harness to prevent wire breakage or poor contact.
Extract the Airbag Slowly pull the airbag out from the back of the seat and observe its surface for any signs of damage, deformation, or air leakage. If any abnormalities are found, replace the airbag promptly to avoid safety hazards during subsequent use. After removal, place the airbag in a dry, cool place, away from high temperatures, moisture, or sharp objects to prevent material aging or damage to the airbag.
Precautions:
- The airbag in an office chair may involve an air pressure adjustment system. Unauthorized removal may trigger accidental inflation or damage components. Non-professionals are advised not to attempt this operation themselves.
- Be careful not to break the main air tube or wires during operation, as this may affect the normal functioning of the airbag (e.g., inability to adjust height or loss of cushioning).
- If the airbag in the office chair is linked to safety features (such as anti-tip design), unauthorized modification may affect usage safety. Strictly follow the product manual or contact the manufacturer for assistance.
