Office Chair Adjustment Screws

Admin October 10, 2026

There are various types and specifications of office chair adjustment screws, commonly including hexagon socket screws and Torx screws, with different screw specifications used in different parts.

The types of office chair adjustment screws are mainly distinguished based on their functions and the parts where they are used. For example, when installing an office chair with a 4-way adjustable lumbar support, screws of different lengths are usually used. Typically, four of the shortest screws are required. During installation, the screws should be classified according to their lengths and then all tightened to ensure the stability and safety of the lumbar support adjustment function.

Hexagon socket screws are a relatively common type in office chairs. Their specification is usually the M6 standard, suitable for connecting most non-load-bearing parts, such as the connection between the chair back and the seat cushion. However, for load-bearing parts like the chassis or casters, which need to withstand greater weight and pressure, M8 hexagon socket screws with larger specifications may be used to ensure the structural stability and durability.

In addition, among the adjustment screws for double-back chairs, there are also Torx screws. These screws are mainly used for the height adjustment function of the chair. By tightening or loosening the Torx screws, the height of the chair can be fixed or adjusted to meet the usage needs of different users. The design of Torx screws makes the adjustment process more convenient and quick, while also improving the adjustment accuracy.

When selecting office chair adjustment screws, in addition to considering their types and specifications, attention should also be paid to the material and quality of the screws. High-quality screws are usually made of high-strength materials, which have better corrosion resistance and wear resistance and can extend the service life of the office chair. At the same time, during the installation process, operations should be carried out strictly in accordance with the instructions to ensure that each screw is tightened in place, avoiding looseness or detachment, thereby ensuring usage safety.
