Office Chair Adjustment Hand Crank
The hand-crank adjustment function of an office chair mainly achieves the adjustment of the seat height and the front-to-back swing amplitude by rotating the crank and operating related components.

Seat Height Adjustment
Among the hand-crank adjustment functions of an office chair, seat height adjustment is a relatively common operation. Usually, a crank is equipped on the side of the office chair, and rotating this crank can control the lifting of the seat. Specifically, when the seat needs to be raised, simply rotate the crank, and the seat will gradually rise with the rotation of the crank. This is because the crank is connected to the gas cylinder or mechanical structure inside the office chair, and rotating the crank changes the air pressure inside the gas cylinder or the transmission of the mechanical structure, thereby achieving the rise of the seat.
When the seat needs to be lowered, the operation method is slightly different. On some office chairs, it is necessary to press down a lever beside it while rotating the crank or keep pressing down the lever, and the seat will descend. This design is to prevent the seat from suddenly dropping out of control and ensure the safety of the user. In addition, rotating the crank counterclockwise can also reduce the rebound force of the seat. The rebound force refers to the strength of the seat when it returns to its original shape after being subjected to pressure. Reducing the rebound force can make the seat more stable during the lowering and rising processes and avoid discomfort to the user caused by excessive rebound force.
Front-to-Back Swing Amplitude Adjustment
In addition to seat height adjustment, some office chairs can also adjust the front-to-back swing amplitude of the chair by adjusting hand-crank-related components. Usually, there is a black cylindrical component in front of the gas cylinder of the office chair. When this component is rotated left and right, it can change the front-to-back swing amplitude of the chair. When the black cylindrical component is rotated in one direction, the front-to-back swing amplitude of the chair will increase, allowing the user to swing the chair more freely back and forth; when rotated in the opposite direction, the front-to-back swing amplitude of the chair will decrease, making the chair more stable and suitable for when the user needs to focus on work. This design fully takes into account the needs of users in different scenarios and improves the practicality and comfort of the office chair.
