Adjustment Functions Below the Office Chair
The adjustment functions below an office chair typically include height adjustment, backrest tilt tension adjustment, backrest hardness adjustment, and locking and unlocking functions.

Height Adjustment: This is one of the more common adjustment functions of an office chair. Some office chairs control the height using a lever on the right side. When the user is seated, gently lifting the lever raises the chair, while pressing it down lowers the chair. Generally, adjusting the chair to a height where the knees are bent at a 90-degree angle and the feet can rest flat on the ground is the most comfortable. This height helps maintain proper sitting posture and reduces physical fatigue. Some office chairs adjust the height by rotating a rod up and down. Rotating the rod upward raises the chair, while rotating it downward lowers the chair, allowing users to make flexible adjustments according to their needs.
Backrest Tilt Tension Adjustment: This is usually controlled by a lever on the left side to adjust the tension of the backrest tilt. Lifting this lever allows the user to lean back and, after finding a suitable angle, pressing it down locks the angle in place, facilitating use in different scenarios such as resting or thinking. Some high-end office chairs are equipped with a knob for backrest tilt tension adjustment. For individuals with a heavier weight, the knob can be tightened to increase the resistance of the backrest tilt, making the chair more stable. If one wants to relax during a lunch break, the knob can be loosened to make the chair tilt back more easily.
Backrest Hardness Adjustment: This is achieved by rotating a knob. Rotating the knob clockwise hardens the backrest of the chair, providing stronger support for the user's back, which is suitable for long periods of office work, helping to maintain proper sitting posture and reduce back pressure. Rotating the knob counterclockwise softens the backrest, offering more flexible support and allowing the user to relax more during breaks.
Locking and Unlocking Functions: Pushing the rod inward locks the chair, fixing its current state. For example, after adjusting the chair's height, backrest tilt angle, etc., pushing the rod inward keeps the chair in that state, preventing accidental changes during use. Pulling the rod outward unlocks the chair, allowing the user to make further adjustments.
