Office Chair Accuracy
Admin October 08, 2026
The accuracy of office chairs mainly involves two aspects: structural dimension accuracy and testing equipment accuracy.

Structural Dimension Accuracy
There are clear standards for the structural dimension accuracy of office chairs. According to the QB/T 2280 - 2016 and QB/T 4071 - 2021 standards, the dimensional deviation requirements for different components vary.
- Height Deviation: The overall height deviation of an office chair is generally โค ยฑ5mm. This deviation range ensures consistency in the height of the office chair, meeting the needs of different usage scenarios and users, and avoiding the impact on the user experience and comfort due to excessive height differences.
- Base Diameter Error: The base diameter error is โค ยฑ3mm. As the supporting part of the office chair, the accuracy of the base diameter affects the stability and balance of the office chair. An appropriate error range ensures that the office chair does not shake significantly during use.
- Armrest Height Deviation: The armrest height allows a deviation of ยฑ2mm. Armrests are an important part of an office chair, and their height accuracy is crucial for the support and comfort of the user's arms. A small deviation range can better fit the user's usage habits.
- Backrest Angle Deviation: The backrest angle deviation is usually โค ยฑ1ยฐ. The backrest angle directly affects the user's sitting posture and back support. Precise control of the angle deviation helps reduce the user's fatigue after long-term use and protects the user's spine health.
Testing Equipment Accuracy
The accuracy calibration of the back-push testing equipment for office chairs is crucial. The reliability of the test results depends on the accuracy of the equipment itself. The calibration involves core parameters such as the force measurement system, displacement measurement system, speed, and frequency.
- Force Measurement System Calibration: Perform force application operations at multiple force value points set on the equipment, record the force values displayed by the standard force measuring instrument and the calibrated equipment, take the average value after multiple repetitions, and determine whether the force measurement error of the equipment is within the allowable range. Accurate force measurement ensures that the test results truly reflect the performance of the office chair under push force.
- Displacement Measurement System Calibration: Use a standard displacement measurement device to control the push rod to move to multiple preset position points, record the measured values, take the average value to calculate the error, and correct the equipment according to the error situation. Precise displacement measurement helps understand the deformation and movement of the office chair during the back-push process.
- Speed and Frequency Calibration: For testing equipment that simulates repeated back-push actions, standard instruments such as photoelectric timers or frequency meters are also required to calibrate the movement speed and action frequency of the push rod to ensure the consistency and accuracy of the test conditions.
