Office and Car Chair Review

Admin October 09, 2026

In the review of office chairs and car chairs, the Nissan N7 office chair offers rich features but comes at a high price, the Buick GL8 seat-modified office chair provides good cost-effectiveness but requires attention to safety, and the NIO ES8 seat modification offers diverse options with their own trade-offs.

Nissan N7 Office Chair: Priced at a hefty 9,888 yuan, it has a large and heavy appearance with a two-tone design. The headrest and upper part of the backrest are green, while most of the seat cushion and seat surface are white. Its design is derived from Nissan's unique spinal ergonomic seat shape, made of a creamy material that feels delicate and skin-friendly. Functionally, it inherits most of the features of a car seat, retaining functions such as backrest tilt, rear lumbar support adjustment, adjustable armrests on both sides, a storage net pocket on the back of the seat, and a charging port at the bottom. The seat cushion is a 10-layer composite structure, soft yet supportive, with a maximum backrest adjustment angle of 161 degrees. The side wings have airbag support, and connecting to a mobile phone via Bluetooth can unlock more functions.

Buick GL8 Seat-Modified Office Chair: In terms of comfort, after adding an industrial-grade base and a 12V lithium battery, the waist fatigue level after sitting continuously for 4 hours is 47% lower than that of an ordinary office chair. The lumbar support height is 7 cm higher than that of a gaming chair, and the fit is improved by 29%. In terms of cost, the basic version ranges from 300 to 500 yuan, and the high-end version ranges from 600 to 800 yuan, which is more cost-effective than buying an ergonomic chair with ventilation and heating functions. In terms of safety, DIY modifications do not come with a vehicle warranty. An insecurely installed base may tip over, and circuit modifications may pose a short-circuit risk. In terms of environmental protection, the automotive-grade material has a formaldehyde emission level that is only one-fifth of the national standard, but the environmental advantages may be offset if cheap modification materials are used. It is mainly suitable for remote office workers.

NIO ES8 Seat Modification: For cross-brand transplantation (replacing ES8 seats with Ideal L6 seats), there are Option A and Option B. Option A costs about 3,000 to 5,000 yuan, significantly improving comfort, but the original vehicle's voice control function becomes ineffective, and seat ventilation, heating, and massage are changed to physical button controls. Option B involves modifying the original vehicle's frame with new filling, costing about 800 to 2,000 yuan, and can retain all original factory functions.
