Novel Office Chair Competition
The novel office chair competitions mainly include the German Office Chair Racing Competition and the "Office Chair Race" in Kawasaki City, Japan.

German Office Chair Racing Competition: This event has been successfully held for three editions and has strict competition rules. The office chairs used by participants can be equipped with inline skates and armrests, but the use of power devices such as engines to assist in moving forward is explicitly prohibited to ensure fairness and safety. In the third edition, a total of 58 participants took part. After taking necessary safety precautions, they competed in pairs. The participants slid down a slope approximately 183 meters long, reaching an average speed of 35 kilometers per hour. Ultimately, Pierre Feller from Luxembourg won the championship with an outstanding time of 26.95 seconds, demonstrating exceptional skill and courage by adopting a lying-down position during the race. Additionally, the competition featured a Best Design Award, which was presented to Heiko Winter. His office chair design was unique, featuring a horse's head and saddle, and he dressed up as a cowboy. Unfortunately, due to a malfunction in his office chair, he was unable to complete the race.
"Office Chair Race" in Kawasaki City, Japan: This event was unique and entertaining, as many participants dressed up in costumes due to the proximity to Halloween, adding a lot of fun and spectacle to the competition. Unlike the German competition, Japanese participants moved forward by vigorously pedaling the ground with their feet while sitting on office chairs. During the race, some participants exerted so much force that the wheels of their office chairs fell off, leading to frequent accidents and adding a sense of tension and excitement to the event.
