Assembly and Disassembly of Noon-Break Office Chair
The assembly and disassembly of a noon-break office chair must be carried out strictly in accordance with the structural sequence. It is recommended to assemble from the bottom up during installation and perform the reverse operation with attention to safety precautions during disassembly.

Assembly Steps
Component Identification and Preparation
A noon-break office chair typically consists of components such as chair legs, casters, a gas lift, a base, a seat, a backrest, armrests, and a headrest. Before assembly, ensure that all components are complete and undamaged, especially checking that the lifting function of the gas lift is normal to avoid installation failure or usage risks due to component defects.Basic Structure Assembly
- Chair Legs and Casters: Align the casters with the mounting holes on the chair legs and press vertically until they are fully engaged, ensuring that each caster is firmly installed to prevent loosening during subsequent use.
- Gas Lift Installation: Insert the gas lift vertically into the center hole of the chair legs, maintaining a vertical position to avoid tilting, which could damage the gas lift or cause instability of the chair.
Seat and Base Connection
Place the base on the bottom of the seat and secure it with the provided screws, ensuring that the screws are tightened to prevent separation between the base and the seat. The base usually comes with adjustment mechanisms (such as recline locking), and their functionality should be tested after installation.Backrest and Overall Integration
- Backrest Connection: Align the mounting holes on the backrest with the fixed positions on the back of the seat and secure them with screws or clips to ensure a tight connection between the backrest and the seat.
- Seat and Gas Lift Docking: Place the assembled seat part vertically on the gas lift and gently press down until it is fully engaged. Test whether the seat can be raised and lowered normally via the gas lift.
Armrest and Headrest Installation
- Armrests: According to the reserved holes on both sides of the seat, secure the armrests with screws and adjust them to a comfortable height before tightening.
- Headrest: Insert the connecting rod of the headrest into the hole at the top of the backrest and adjust the height or angle as needed before securing it.
Disassembly Steps
Safety Precautions and Sequence Planning
Disassembly is more difficult than assembly, especially since the connections between the gas lift and the chair legs, as well as the seat, may be tightly engaged due to long-term use. Frequent disassembly is not recommended unless necessary. When operating, wear gloves to prevent cuts and avoid directly striking the gas lift (which may pose an explosion risk).Reverse Disassembly Process
- Armrests and Headrest: First, loosen the screws of the armrests and remove them, then pull out the connecting rod of the headrest.
- Backrest Separation: Loosen the fixing screws between the backrest and the seat and draw the backrest backward.
- Seat and Gas Lift: Raise the gas lift to its highest position, hold the seat with one hand, press the lifting lever with the other hand, and shake until it loosens, then pull it out vertically. If the engagement is too tight, gently tap the bottom of the seat with a rubber mallet to assist in separation.
- Gas Lift and Chair Legs: Invert the chair legs and tap the bottom of the gas lift with a rubber mallet (or use a regular hammer after padding it with a wooden board) to disengage it from the hole in the chair legs.
Component Sorting and Inspection
After disassembly, store all screws and small components separately to prevent loss. Check each component for wear or damage (such as broken casters or a leaking gas lift) for timely replacement.
