Noon Break Office Chair Assembly

Admin October 16, 2026

The assembly of a noon-break office chair can be carried out following the steps below, with attention to the installation order and details of different components:

1. Component Identification and Classification Before assembly, ensure that all components are complete, typically including chair legs (five-star base), casters (universal wheels), gas lift, seat plate, seat cushion, backrest, armrests, headrest, and screws. Check for any damage or missing parts, especially ensuring that the gas lift has a safety certification mark to avoid safety hazards from using inferior products.

2. Basic Structure Installation

  • Connecting Casters to Chair Legs: Insert each caster vertically into the five holes of the chair legs, ensuring that the catches are fully engaged to prevent loosening. Some casters may need to be secured with screws, using the provided tools to tighten them.
  • Installing the Gas Lift: Insert the gas lift vertically into the center hole of the chair legs, ensuring that the bottom is fully in contact with the surface of the chair legs. The gas lift is the core component for adjusting the chair's height, so it must be installed vertically to avoid air leakage or damage from tilting.

3. Fixing the Seat Cushion to the Seat Plate

  • Positioning the Seat Plate: Align the seat plate (which includes modules for controlling height adjustment and recline functions) with the screw holes on the bottom of the seat cushion. Insert long screws from the bottom of the seat cushion upwards and tighten them until the seat plate is fixed. Ensure that the direction of the seat plate matches the functional markings on the seat cushion (e.g., the recline adjustment button faces forward).
  • Installing the Tray: If an additional tray (used to connect the gas lift) needs to be installed on the bottom of the seat cushion, use the shortest screws to fix the tray at the center of the seat cushion, ensuring that the hole in the tray aligns with the top of the gas lift.

4. Assembling the Backrest and Armrests

  • Connecting the Backrest: Align the catches or screw holes at the bottom of the backrest with the corresponding positions on the rear of the seat cushion and secure them with medium-sized screws. Some backrests may need to be connected to the seat cushion using plastic inserts, requiring firm pressing until a "click" sound is heard.
  • Installing the Armrests: Use the thickest screws to fix the armrests on both sides of the seat cushion, paying attention to the symmetry of the left and right armrests. After installation, check that the armrests are level to avoid affecting comfort during use.

5. Installing the Headrest and Making Final Adjustments

  • Installing the Headrest: Insert the headrest bracket into the hole at the top of the backrest and adjust the height or angle as needed. Some headrests may need to be secured with screws, tightening them until there is no wobbling.
  • Final Inspection: Pull the gas lift to adjust the chair's height and test whether the recline function works properly. Shake the chair to check the stability of all components, especially the connection between the casters and the chair legs. Adjust the armrests and headrest to comfortable positions.

Precautions:

  • During factory batch installation, prioritize handling components with holes (such as the backrest or armrest connection plates), ensuring that the holes face outward for easy screw fixation. When using an electric drill, control the torque to avoid slipping.
  • Avoid excessive force during assembly to prevent plastic components from breaking. If the screw holes are misaligned, realign them instead of forcing the screws in.
