Non-Rotating Office Chair
The solutions for a non-rotating office chair are as follows:

1. Check the wheels at the bottom of the swivel chair
- Clear debris: Check if the wheels are stuck with paper scraps, hair, or threads. If so, use tweezers or a fine brush to carefully clean them, avoiding damage to the wheel surface.
- Replace damaged wheels: If the wheel surface is unevenly worn or cracked, purchase new wheels that fit. Pull the old wheels straight out from the axle and ensure the plug is fully inserted into the axle hole when installing new wheels to prevent looseness.
- Address axle issues: Check if the wheel axle is loose or rusty. If the screws are loose, tighten them with a screwdriver; if the axle is rusty, spray rust remover, wipe it with a dry cloth, and then drip lubricating oil (such as sewing machine oil) to restore rotational flexibility.
2. Lubricate the swivel chair axle
A lack of oil in the central axle of the swivel chair can cause rotational stuttering. Locate the axle (usually at the connection between the seat and the base), use a syringe or oil can to inject an appropriate amount of lubricating oil into the axle, and then slowly rotate the seat several times after injection to allow the oil to evenly penetrate the internal parts and reduce friction.
3. Tighten connecting components
Check if the screws on the armrests, seat, and base are loose. Tighten them one by one with a screwdriver, but control the force to avoid over-tightening, which can cause thread slippage or component cracking. If the connecting parts are aged (such as broken plastic clips), replace them with new ones.
4. Check the gas cylinder status
A bent, deformed, or leaking gas cylinder can cause the seat to sink or rotate abnormally. Observe if there are dents or cracks on the surface of the gas cylinder. If there are issues, it is recommended to contact a professional repair person to replace the gas cylinder. Do not attempt to disassemble the gas cylinder yourself as it may pose an explosion risk.
5. Adjust the floor environment
If the floor is uneven (such as a thick carpet) or has excessive friction, it can hinder wheel rotation. Move the chair to a smooth floor (such as wooden or tiled floors) or place a hard pad under the carpet to reduce resistance.
If you need to fix the swivel chair to prevent rotation, you can achieve this by replacing the wheels with brake wheels, installing right-angle iron plate reinforcements, or adjusting the adjusting bolts to increase damping. For specific operations, refer to the steps in 'Physical Locking and Structural Reinforcement' and 'Temporary Adjustment and Emergency Handling'.
