Ninghe Office Chair Testing

Admin October 16, 2026

Ninghe office chair testing mainly includes strength testing, stability testing, caster durability testing, gas spring inspection, and backrest durability and tilt mechanism testing, among other aspects.

Strength Testing: This is primarily carried out using an office chair strength testing machine. The device allows for precise parameter setting through a PLC controller paired with an LCD touchscreen, enabling accurate configuration of test force values, dwell times, and cycle times. It can conduct strength tests on the vertical and horizontal armrests as well as the chair backrest, thereby verifying the structural stability of the office chair under certain forces and ensuring it meets daily usage requirements without being easily damaged by external forces.

Stability Testing: Conducted in accordance with the EN1335 standard, this simulates the tipping point in real-world usage scenarios. Through standardized force application and position setting, testing is performed from two dimensions: static and dynamic stability. Static stability tests whether the chair will tip over due to a shift in the center of gravity when in static postures such as leaning forward, backward, or sideways. Dynamic stability considers the dynamic changes of the chair during use, ensuring the safety of the user during various movements.

Caster Durability Testing: Also based on the EN1335 standard, this simulates the rolling friction and impact loads during long-term use. Using a dedicated testing platform, the test chair is fixed at the center of the platform, with the caster contact surface bearing a specified load. A pneumatic cylinder drives the platform to rotate alternately, causing the casters to perform continuous reciprocating linear motion. The test cycle consists of 72,000 cycles, equivalent to simulating approximately 12 months of usage frequency, thereby assessing the durability of the casters.

Gas Spring Inspection: This involves performance verification of the inflatable support components within the seat height adjustment column. The testing covers multiple dimensions, including appearance dimensions, force characteristics, sealing, durability cycles, and safety performance, ensuring that the gas spring operates stably and safely during height adjustments.

Backrest Durability and Tilt Mechanism Testing: Conducted using a TST-F734 office chair testing instrument. The chair's casters are fixed, and a certain force and speed are applied to the chair backrest to perform backrest movements as specified, thereby evaluating the quality of the backrest and tilt mechanism and ensuring they can withstand long-term use.
