New Office Chair Production

Admin October 11, 2026

The production of new office chairs can be approached from three perspectives: professional mesh chairs, DIY aluminum profile work chairs, and low-cost DIY red-blue chairs. Details are as follows:

Production of Professional Mesh Chairs

  1. Design and Development: Based on ergonomic data, study the sitting habits of people of different heights and body types, and clarify the natural curvature of the spine and the pressure distribution on the buttocks and back. Design the curvature of the chair back, the position and prominence of the lumbar support, the depth and inclination of the seat cushion accordingly, while planning materials and structures, selecting high-strength mesh fabric, plastic, and steel to ensure stable connections and smooth adjustments.
  2. Mesh Fabric Selection and Processing: Prioritize synthetic fiber mesh fabrics such as polyester and nylon, which require high tensile strength, good resilience, wear resistance, and UV resistance. The weaving method affects performance; dense weaving enhances support, while hollow patterns improve breathability. The mesh fabric needs to undergo dyeing and heat-setting treatments to ensure high color fastness and structural stability.
  3. Skeleton and Mechanism Forging: The plastic skeletons of the chair back and seat cushion are manufactured using injection molding processes to ensure the chair's reliability and functionality.

Production of DIY Aluminum Profile Work Chairs

  1. Material Procurement: Purchase aluminum profiles and accessories such as panel corner slots, foot cup mounts, and L-shaped connecting plates from e-commerce platforms according to design requirements. Accurately measure the chair's dimensions and determine the hole spacing for the merchant to machine countersunk holes, ensuring assembly precision.
  2. Assembly and Adjustment: Assemble the aluminum profiles according to the design drawings, using three-dimensional corner connectors and other accessories for fixation. Adjust the chair's height according to actual needs; if elevation is required, extend the length of the aluminum profiles and add end caps to enhance stability.

Production of Low-Cost DIY Red-Blue Chairs

  1. Design Inspiration: Based on the classic red-blue chair, follow the principles of the De Stijl movement, which emphasizes 'expressing pure spirit through simple colors and geometric forms,' focusing on the unity of form and function.
  2. Material Preparation: Use 3030mm wooden strips as the support structure, 3mm-thick wooden boards to craft armrests, and 1.5mm-thick wooden boards to make the chair back and seat. Prepare tools such as utility knives, U-glue, or white glue to ensure convenient cutting and bonding operations.
  3. Production Steps: First, construct the support part to ensure structural stability; then, cut the armrests, chair back, and seat, paying attention to dimensional accuracy; finally, bond all components with glue. Exercise caution during cutting to avoid cuts and ensure safety.
