Municipal Office Chair Assembly

Admin October 10, 2026

The assembly of municipal office chairs can be carried out according to the following steps:

I. Preparation before Assembly
Count all the components, including the five-star base, casters (5 pieces), gas lift, seat plate, seat, backrest, armrests, screws, and installation tools (screwdrivers, Allen wrenches, rubber mallets, etc.). Ensure that all tools are complete and compatible with the screw types. It is recommended to set the electric screwdriver to a low torque setting to avoid damaging the components.

II. Install the Five-Star Base and Casters
Place the five-star base with its front side facing up. Take one caster, align the metal rod with the base hole, and press vertically until you hear a 'click' sound indicating it is securely fastened; if it is a threaded type, tighten it clockwise. After installation, gently shake the five-star base to confirm that all casters are firmly attached without any looseness.

III. Install the Gas Lift
Remove the plastic protective cap from the top of the gas lift (if present). Insert the thicker end vertically into the center hole of the five-star base and press firmly until it is fully inserted at the bottom, ensuring a stable connection between the gas lift and the base.

IV. Install the Seat Plate
Flip the seat upside down to expose its bottom. Locate the pre-installed screw holes and remove the pre-installed screws. Align the seat plate with the holes, paying attention to distinguish the front and back directions (the side with the height adjustment lever is the front). First, tighten the screws by hand initially, then gradually tighten them using the 'diagonal tightening method' to prevent the seat plate from tilting.

V. Connect the Seat to the Gas Lift
Lift the seat with the installed seat plate, align the center hole of the seat plate with the top of the gas lift, and press down vertically to ensure a tight connection between the seat and the gas lift.

VI. Install the Armrests and Backrest
Align the screw holes on both sides of the seat to install the armrests, tighten the screws, and keep them symmetrical on both sides. For a split-type backrest, first fix the backrest to the metal bracket at the rear of the seat. During installation, do not fully tighten the screws of the armrests temporarily; place the backrest on the seat cushion, align the holes, and gradually install the bottom and top screws, then tighten all the screws.

VII. Install Additional Components
Insert the headrest rod into the reserved hole at the top of the backrest and rotate it to the desired height; if there is a lumbar support, secure it to the middle of the backrest using Velcro or buckles.

VIII. Inspection and Adjustment
Shake the chair to test its structural stability, check whether the height adjustment, recline, and rotation functions operate smoothly, and confirm that no screws are exposed and the wheels are firmly fixed. Adjust the recline tension of the backrest, the height of the headrest, and the width of the armrests according to personal preferences. It is recommended to check the tightness of the screws monthly to extend the service life of the chair.
