Muji Office Chair Review

Admin October 22, 2026

Muji office chairs generally perform well, but some models have minor issues. Overall, they are worth considering for purchase.

In terms of quality, Muji, as a well-known Japanese brand, consistently adheres to the concept of producing high-quality products. The chair design pays attention to details, with strict material selection. The frame structure and surface materials of the chairs are carefully chosen and processed, resulting in high durability that can withstand daily use and provide users with a long-lasting and stable experience.

Regarding design, it fully takes into account ergonomic principles. The shapes and angles are meticulously studied to fit the human body's curves, effectively alleviating fatigue caused by prolonged sitting. The materials are soft and comfortable, offering a good sitting experience for users. The high-back reclining sofa chair's backrest height can fully fit the entire area from the tailbone to the shoulder blades, like two hands firmly supporting the back. The seat tilt angle adjustment is smooth, and the cushion density is reasonably designed, so it won't collapse immediately upon sitting or be too hard to be uncomfortable.

In terms of adaptability, there are various models and specifications to choose from, meeting the needs of different settings such as offices, homes, and conference rooms. Some chairs have adjustable heights to accommodate different users' heights and usage habits.

Regarding cost-effectiveness, although the prices are relatively high, considering the quality and design, they still offer good value for money. The chairs have a simple and stylish appearance, conforming to modern aesthetic trends and blending well with various interior decoration styles. Moreover, they are of high quality, have a long service life, low maintenance costs, and come with comprehensive after-sales service. In the long run, purchasing them is quite cost-effective.

However, some users have reported issues with certain models. For example, the slanted backrest lounge chairs are prone to collapsing and wrinkling and have poor breathability. After a period of use, the bases and waist areas of high-back reclining chairs/sofa chairs may become soft and lack support. Additionally, the soft lumbar pads from Muji may lose support after being washed two or three times, so frequent washing is not recommended.
