Moonlight Knight Office Chair

The Moonlight Knight Office Chair, also known as the UE Yongyi XY Moonlight Knight Gaming/Office Chair, features breathability and lumbar support, among other characteristics, with some drawbacks. The Pro version offers upgrades and is priced at approximately 1139 yuan, available for purchase on JD.com.

• Mesh Design: It adopts a full-mesh design, providing a refreshing and breathable experience, especially suitable for summer use. The seat cushion uses 'special mesh' fabric, which is more suitable for southern climates compared to sponge cushions, reducing闷热 (stuffiness) during prolonged sitting. However, the force distribution on the seat cushion is uneven, with noticeable pressure between the femur and patella compared to the ends, and the mesh fabric has relatively high friction against clothing. Additionally, this mesh does not use Matrex mesh, and its long-term durability remains to be further explored.
• Lumbar and Back Design: It features a separated lumbar and back design, allowing the chair back to move in tandem when leaning back. The chair back supports height adjustment to accommodate different heights. The backrest is in a dual-back form, with a large X-shaped support bearing the lumbar and back pressure, and small Y-shaped springs supporting the thoracic, lumbar, and tail vertebrae, providing a strong sense of support. However, the lumbar support has a low presence and does not support manual adjustment. When lying flat at 135°, the 'adaptive' lumbar support cannot closely fit the waist, leaving a certain gap.
• Adaptive Base: After unlocking the backrest, it can automatically adjust the force required for leaning back and forward tilting based on the user's weight. However, it loses the function of manually adjusting the damping of the mechanical base, preventing it from rocking like a traditional armchair.
• Armrests: The armrests are fixed to the base and do not move with the backrest. When the chair back leans back, the arms can only rest on the sides of the lumbar support, limiting usage scenarios and providing comfort only when sitting upright.
• Other Features: It comes in a gray-and-white color scheme, giving it a youthful and stylish appearance. However, for individuals under 1.75 meters tall, the headrest may not provide support to the cervical spine. There are also models with footrests, but the lying position for午休 (noon breaks) is not comfortable, with the center of gravity on the waist and tailbone and limited space for movement. Additionally, the UE Yongyi XY Moonlight Knight Pro version features an extra-large C-shaped lumbosacral support, providing comprehensive care from the sacrum to the waist, with adaptive side lumbar springs that follow the waist. It is priced at approximately 1139 yuan and available for purchase at JD.com's self-operated store.
