Miniature Office Chair Tutorial
Admin October 19, 2026
Currently, there is no detailed tutorial specifically for miniature office chairs, but you can refer to the chair part of the tutorial for making miniature tables and chairs in modern furniture. Here are the specific steps:

I. Prepare Materials
- Chair Legs: Select a cuboid with dimensions of 2ร2ร15 as the basic structure, and choose color number Green 5. This size needs to be adjusted according to the miniature scale to ensure harmony with the overall model. When making it, ensure the perpendicularity of the cuboid to avoid tilting during subsequent assembly.
- Chair Seat: Use a cuboid with dimensions of 20ร20ร2. The main color is Green 5, and the top edge is painted with color number Green 6. This design highlights the layering of the seat through color contrast, and the dark edge of Green 6 can simulate the shadow effect of real furniture. When making it, ensure that the seat is flat and the edge is painted evenly.
- Chair Backrest: Set the thickness to 2 grids, with the same color as the chair legs, Green 5, and deepen the edges with Green 6. The shape of the backrest can be designed as rectangular or curved according to needs, but the thickness should be uniform. Deepening the edges can enhance the three-dimensional effect and simulate the polishing effect of real furniture. Precautions: When making all materials, try to place them in the middle of the miniature range to facilitate subsequent adjustment of position and angle in the custom model maker. If using 3D modeling software, this can be achieved through the 'Center Align' function; for manual production, measure and position with a ruler.
II. Custom Model Making
- Hierarchy Setting: Set the chair seat as the main hierarchy, and the chair legs and backrest as sub-hierarchies. This structure facilitates unified adjustment of the overall position while allowing independent modification of sub-components. For example, when moving the seat, the chair legs and backrest will move synchronously to avoid component separation.
- Position and Angle Adjustment:
- Chair Legs: Adjust the position through bone parameters. The X-axis and Z-axis can be tilted by 5ยฐ, and the position parameters are set to ยฑ45ยฐ to simulate the splayed structure of real chairs and enhance stability.
- Backrest: Adjust the angle to a 15-degree tilt, which conforms to ergonomic design. For more refinement, further fine-tune the angle at the connection between the backrest and the seat to ensure a natural transition. Advanced Tips: In 3D modeling software, precise adjustment can be achieved by entering specific angle values through the 'Rotation Tool'; for manual production, use a protractor to assist in positioning. After adjustment, check the model from multiple perspectives to avoid component penetration or proportion imbalance.
