Mesh Office Chair Assembly

Admin October 11, 2026

The assembly steps for a mesh office chair are as follows:

  1. Prepare Components and Tools
Before assembly, ensure that all components are complete, including the five-star base, chair casters, seat cushion, chair back, armrests, base plate, gas lift (if applicable), screws, and accompanying tools (such as screwdrivers and wrenches). It is recommended to categorize and place the components to avoid omissions or confusion.

  2. Install Chair Casters and Five-Star Base
Insert the chair casters vertically into the holes of the five-star base, ensuring that the wheels are fully embedded and not loose. Some designs may require the caster screws to be left slightly loose for subsequent position adjustments, so follow the instructions flexibly.

  3. Secure the Seat Cushion and Base Plate

    • If there are screws under the seat cushion that need to be removed (for special constructions), first remove the screws, then embed the side strips sewn with mesh fabric into the side slots of the seat cushion frame, and secure the rear end with staples.
    • For ordinary constructions, directly fix the base plate to the top of the seat cushion with screws, ensuring that the screws are tightened to prevent the base plate from wobbling.
  4. Connect the Chair Back and Seat Cushion
Align the mounting holes of the chair back with the connection part of the seat cushion, insert the screws, and tighten them. This step requires ensuring that the chair back is perpendicular to the seat cushion to avoid tilting and affecting comfort. Some chair backs may need to be fixed with clips, so adjust according to the design.

  5. Install Armrests and Headrest

    • Align the armrests with the mounting holes on both sides of the seat cushion, insert the screws, and tighten them to ensure that the armrests are level and stable.
    • If the headrest needs to be installed separately, after fixing the armrests, insert the headrest bracket into the top hole of the chair back and tighten the screws to complete the fixation. Some designs place the installation of armrests and headrests at the final step, so refer to the instructions.
  6. Connect the Base Plate and Gas Lift
If the chair is equipped with a pneumatic height adjustment function, insert the gas lift into the connection hole of the base plate and secure it with screws or clips. After installation, test the flexibility of the gas rod to ensure smooth height adjustment without jamming.

Precautions:

  • Avoid applying excessive force during assembly to prevent damage to components, especially handle the mesh fabric gently.
  • After tightening the screws, it is recommended to recheck all connection parts to ensure there is no looseness or abnormal noise.
  • If any components are found to be missing or damaged during assembly, contact after-sales service immediately and do not force use.
