Master-Designed Office Chairs
Here are some representative office chairs designed by masters:

Wassily Chair: Designed by Marcel Breuer in 1925, it was the world's first tubular steel chair and also the first one designed by Breuer. The design inspiration for this chair came from bicycle handlebars, and Breuer boldly combined chrome-plated steel tubes with leather. The use of chrome-plated steel tubes not only gives the chair clean and flowing lines, showcasing a unique modern aesthetic, but also ensures the chair's structural strength and stability. The leather material adds comfort and a sense of quality. The Wassily Chair broke away from traditional furniture design patterns and, with its simple geometric form and innovative use of materials, became a classic of modernist furniture design, having a profound impact on subsequent furniture design.
Chandigarh Chair: Around 1955, Pierre Jeanneret, under the guidance of Le Corbusier, designed this office chair for civil servants in the government buildings of Chandigarh, India. Its official name is 'office chair, Parliament Building Office Chair'. It is made from locally available wood, with an overall simple and practical design that fully takes into account the needs of an office setting. The chair has a stable structure, capable of meeting the requirements of civil servants for long hours of office work, reflecting the design concept of functionalism. At the same time, its rustic appearance blends in with the local environment, possessing certain regional cultural characteristics.
Z - CHAIR: Zaha Hadid spent three years researching and designing this chair, which is made of polished stainless steel. Its unique Z-shaped form breaks away from the conventional shape of traditional chairs, and the soft geometric lines give the chair a sense of flowing beauty, as if it were aๅๅบ (frozen) moment of motion. This innovative design not only provides a strong visual impact but also showcases Zaha Hadid's unique architectural thinking and exploration of spatial forms, cleverly integrating architectural design concepts into furniture design.
