Fixation of Massage Office Chairs

Admin October 19, 2026

The fixation of massage office chairs can be achieved by reinforcing the bottom support, locking the connecting components, optimizing the placement environment, and paying attention to daily usage details.

Reinforce Bottom Support to Increase Friction

  • Anti-slip Pads for Different Floor Types: If the massage chair is placed on smooth tiles, marble, or waxed floors, you can attach special anti-slip rubber pads with a thickness of 2-5mm beneath the four feet pads. This not only increases friction but also does not alter the chair's height. For massage chairs with mounting holes, you can use expansion screws to directly fix the bottom to the floor, but ensure there are no water or electrical lines underground beforehand and tighten the screws after installation.
  • Traceless Fixation Solutions: Cut thickened rubber anti-slip pads according to the size of the chair feet to fit the bottom, or choose strong adhesive traceless magic tapes (hook side fixed to the floor, loop side attached to the chair feet) and press to secure. For smooth tile or solid wood floors, suction cup anti-slip pads with vacuum suction are more suitable; they can firmly adhere after pressing to expel air and leave no residue.
  • Carpet Environment Handling: If used on a carpet, trim the carpet area corresponding to the chair feet into slightly smaller pieces than the feet pads to prevent the chair feet from sinking into the carpet and causing wobbling; or place thin cardboard or composite boards beneath the feet pads to increase friction.

Lock Connecting Components to Reduce Loosening

  • Check Adjustable Parts: The adjustable parts of the massage chair, such as the backrest, armrests, and footrests, are prone to developing gaps due to vibrations over time. Before each use, ensure that the backrest adjustment buckle is fully engaged in the slot, tighten the screws at the armrest connections with a small wrench, and lock the footrest in place after adjusting it to the desired position to avoid a floating or unsecured state.
  • Fully Extend Support Legs: Most massage chairs have retractable support legs at the bottom. Before use, they must be fully extended and the buckles tightly fastened; do not partially extend them, as this will exacerbate wobbling.

Optimize Placement Environment to Avoid External Forces

  • Choose a Flat and Hard Floor: Prioritize placing the massage chair on a wooden floor without a carpet or in an area covered with a thick carpet (with the edges fixed to prevent shifting). Avoid placing it near vents, doors, windows, or easily collidable positions, and leave more than 50cm of free space around it to reduce external interference.
  • Use Heavy Objects for Auxiliary Fixation: If possible, place heavy items such as storage boxes filled with clothes or floor fan bases on the side or behind the massage chair to reduce movement with gravity, but avoid the armrests or operation panel to prevent affecting usage.

Other Precautions

  • Avoid Overloading and Vigorous Use: Do not place overly heavy items on the massage chair or allow children to jump on it during daily use to avoid increasing the probability of chair wobbling.
  • Regular Maintenance and Inspection: Check the screws at all connecting parts every 2-3 months and tighten any loose components promptly to maintain long-term stability.
  • Prohibit Destructive Fixation: Do not use nails or screws to directly nail through the floor for fixation to avoid damaging the floor or causing safety hazards. For families renting or concerned about floor damage, prioritize traceless anti-slip pads, suction cups, and other installation-free methods.
