Disassembly of Massage Office Chair
Admin October 13, 2026
The disassembly of a massage office chair should be carried out according to its specific model and structure, referring to the disassembly logic of common massage chairs such as Rongtai 7709Pro and A70MAX, and following the steps carefully while paying attention to safety.

I. Preparations Before Disassembly
- Tool Preparation: Prepare tools such as screwdrivers (cross/flat-head), wrenches, and Allen wrenches according to the chair's structure. Some models may require special tools (e.g., an Allen wrench is needed to remove the armrest screws of the Rongtai 7709Pro).
- Environment Preparation: Choose a spacious and flat ground to avoid scattering or damaging parts during disassembly. Lay soft cloths or cardboard in advance to protect the ground and parts.
- Power Disconnection: If the chair has electric functions (such as massage or heating), unplug the power cord first to prevent electric shock or misoperation.
II. Core Disassembly Steps
- Disassembly of the Lower Leg Component:
- Refer to the Rongtai 7709Pro. First, remove the lower leg buckle (for some models, it is a hanging-ear screw, e.g., the A70MAX requires unscrewing the lower leg hanging-ear screw), and then separate the connecting parts between the lower leg and the main chair body.
- Note: The lower leg component may be heavy. It is recommended that two people work together to avoid injury from dropping.
- Disassembly of the Armrests:
- The armrests are usually fixed to both sides of the chair body with screws (e.g., the 7709Pro requires using an Allen wrench to unscrew the armrest screws; the A70MAX requires pulling out the armrest plugs).
- Key Point: Record the positions of the screws or take photos for reference to avoid confusion during subsequent installation.
- Separation of the Backrest and the Seat:
- The backrest cover may be fixed with buckles or screws (e.g., the 7709Pro requires removing the backrest cover screws; the A70MAX requires unscrewing the backrest cover fixing screws). After disassembly, the internal mechanical structure can be seen.
- Risk Warning: There may be cables connected inside the backrest. Pull gently during disassembly to avoid breaking them.
- Disassembly of the Seat and the Base:
- The seat and the base are usually fixed with screws or buckles. For some models, it is necessary to first remove the fixing screws of the gas rod (lifting column) and then separate the seat.
- Tool Tip: If the gas rod is difficult to disassemble, use a rubber mallet to gently tap the edge of the base to assist in separation.
III. Precautions
- Classified Storage of Parts: Classify and bag small parts such as screws and buckles according to the disassembly sequence and label their positions (e.g., "Armrest Screw - Left Side").
- Avoid Violent Disassembly: Use plastic pry bars to assist in separating buckles or plastic parts. Metal tools may scratch the surface.
- Refer to the Instruction Manual: If the chair has an official disassembly guide, follow the steps in the manual first, as different models have significant structural differences.
Tip: If the purpose of disassembly is for repair or moving, it is recommended to contact after-sales service first to confirm whether self-disassembly is supported, to avoid voiding the warranty or damaging core components due to disassembly.
