MARKUS Office Chair
The MARKUS office chair, launched by IKEA, is an ergonomic office chair available in various colors and models, including Vissle dark gray and Glose black.

Features:
The Vissle dark gray model features a manually adjustable tilt tension function, with a headrest and armrest design that helps relax neck and back muscles, offering a 10-year quality guarantee. Its seat height is adjustable, equipped with a synchronized tilt mechanism, and its high backrest and curved design provide excellent support for the lower back. The armrests are ergonomically shaped for good support. The backrest is made of mesh material to keep air circulating on the back, and the casters are designed for easy movement on different surfaces. The Glose black model allows for adjustments in both height and angle, with a mesh backrest design that keeps the back cool and comfortable. It can be adjusted and locked in a tilted position, and the safety casters are equipped with pressure-sensitive braking devices. It also features lumbar support that better conforms to the body's curves, reducing lumbar pressure.
Quality and Safety:
Both models have undergone development and testing to meet the durability and stability requirements specified in EN 1335 and ANSI/BIFMA X5.1. EN 1335 is a European standard for the safety, strength, and durability of office chairs, while ANSI/BIFMA X5.1 is a performance standard for office chairs established by the Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association in the United States. Both standards impose strict requirements on the structural strength, stability, and durability of office chairs. The fact that the MARKUS office chair meets these standards indicates its reliable quality and safety.
Design Information:
The MARKUS office chair was designed by Henrik Preutz. The designer fully considered ergonomic principles in the design, from the shape and size of each component of the chair to its functional settings, all aimed at providing users with a comfortable and healthy sitting experience, reducing fatigue and discomfort caused by prolonged sitting at work.
